I simply cannot believe that we are almost at the end of February and I have not posted any more blogs. Please accept my apologies, but coupled with work and all my shooting I have just not had much time. Which has made me think about this blog a little more seriously. Time is precious!

After completing a few shoots I suddenly realised that my SD cards were burning hot with all the photography that I was doing and the constant downloading to free them up for the next shoot. Whilst I was happy to shoot and having fun at the time, I did not fully appreciate the time it was going to take to select and edit the photos.....to be honest I am still editing.

Whilst you maybe new to photography and taking lots of photos I have begun to slow down now and be careful with what I am shooting. But coupled with that I am now beginning to be very self critical of my shots and selecting only those photos that I will publish on here and my portfolio sites. And there in lies the problem, once you have selected the photos you HAVE to take the time to edit them properly to get the best out of them. However, there will be times even after you have down selected the prime photos that they still do not warrant any more than say 5 minutes of your time.

So what I have learnt. Still have fun taking photos, but be critical on what you take and then think about taking sufficient time out to down select the better photos and only then, edit those photos to make them into some great pictures.
