So quick recap of the weekend..It was just one of those weekends

Fixed the ski and hit the lake saturday afternoon for a while. Got some good riding in with a few Rad Dudes which is always a good time. Ski ran flawless which is always nice (now just gotta get my other one back). Took a couple of good falls which are always hilarious. It's nice to hit the lake and just unwind with no one to bother you, even just laying in the tay and floating around.

Sunday I was waaaaaay too sore to ride, I couldn't even move my arms after the swim friday night and the ride all day saturday so instead decided to make some ramps for the VW so that I could actually get it up high enough off the ground and get a jack under it.

I can't wait till this weekend when I can relax again. The saying "Working for the weekend" totally true.

Soooooo, yesterday wasn't my day, but today definitely made up for it.

Last night we went out to ride for a bit, started down the lake for a little ride. For some reason there were sticks and crap floating everywhere last night. 5mins into the ride, I suck a plastic bag, so I hop off and pull that out. Ride around I suck a stick into the impeller, at just the right angle to wedge itself in there good.

So begins the fun...ahahahah if you want to call it that. My buddy and I tried for a good 15-30mins to get this stupid stick out of the impeller, but it was in just the right place to where neither of us could reach it. of course it has to be like 6pm now and there aren't a whole lot of people still on the lake. After flipping the ski over a couple of times to try and reach it was decided to take it to this little cove where there was some sand and stuff so we could flip it on its side.

Swimming and pushing it over there, flipped it up on the side still no luck. And me like and idiot not thinking I am dumping water in the carbs (that story later on). No stick, nothing could get that little bugger free. I looked at my watch, it's decision time. Do I walk up the state park and the 3mi back to my house get tool, come back down and fix it, then drive home and walk back down to try and ride it home or do I start the push/swim aaaaaaaallllllllll the way back to the launch, we are loosing daylight fast. I decide to start swimming.

Turns out it was about a 2-3mi swim while pushing the ski the whole way back lol. We tried to tow it a little bit with the other one, but that just wasn't happening. I just got my workout for the year last night lol. All in all it took about 2hrs to swim back. The annoying part was all of these people in boats are just passing by, no one stops to ask if I needed some help. I asked a couple people and they didn't have any tow rope (come on who doesn't have a tow rope in your boat).

Well we made it back safe and alive, and really tired....Of course we went riding again today so there will be some pics up of that. Ski ran awesome.

So I decided to take off every Friday in July hahaha everyone at work now hates me. Last night as I was driving home I saw about 5 emails that today was going to be hell and I just smiled cause usually I'm the one sitting there fixing problems and everyone else in enjoying themselves. I guess that's what I get for always being the go to guy.

This morning I woke up as the sun was shining in my window at 7am (forgot to close the shade last night). I had the windows wide open from last night becuase it was so cool out. 7am wake up was so nice since usually I'm up at 5am to leave for work.

I logged onto facebook, just then my buddy Rob shot me a txt to swing by the shop and pick up the Typhoon diecast truck he had gotten me. I had been looking for one forever cause you can't find them anywhere (they are pretty rare). So I go to jump in the STi becuase I haven't driven it in a couple weeks, pop the hood to check the oil, all is good. Go to close the hood and not so good, the stupid latch is fucked up. Ugh, I don't have time for this, I need to get over to Waterbury and back before 2pm. So after cussing at the car for 10mins I decide I'll just hope in the Cabrio and shoot over there quick..

Don't care what anyone says about a dude driving a Cabrio, the damn things are like little gokarts. MK3, slammed with nice wheels is the only way to go for VW's and you get the added bonus of 36mpg and convertible can't beat it.

Anyway so I go over and bullshit with Rob for a couple hours then I get a txt from my other buddy, one of the Rad Dudes (guys I jetski with) he's headed to my house to look at my X2 because I have something wrong with the cooling lines and the head on the motor (need a different head gasket). I boogie home to meet him, in the mean time I decide to look at that hood latch on the STi. I break the F'n clip that hold the latch cable to the latch, lucky for me that's not really needs cause I am not in the mood today to go and get a new cable and fix that.

Now just waiting for some other Rad Dudes to show up to my house and we are going to hit the lake for a couple hours and ride!!!

I really really need to blog more. I always have so many different things on my mind or something to talk about but I never sit down to type it out. I am going to make a better effort to blog more. I am going to start tomorrow I think hahahah, def by the weekend.

I haven't written in a blog if forever. I'm going to have to sit down and put some things on paper (well electronic paper) here.

I was a busy summer, but not a crazy busy summer. I am over worked and need a vacation hahah. We'll I'll report back later with some updates I guess.
