One thing I'm picking up on - generally speaking it seems SG members are big fans of redheads.

NOT ALL OF US can get to Rollercon, the mecca of the roller derby world in Vegas. So we held Broke-A-Con. Roller derby skaters from all the local leagues (and we have a few) joined up to play some dodgeball, wiffleball, relay races, and of course an impromptu bout and some Queen of the Rink.

Afterwards, we went over to one of the two derby-owned shops called Roller Revolution and had some food, gave out awards and shopped around a bit. Overall, a completely kickass day, I am sunburnt to hell and I got a new shirt. :: ROCK ::

Welp, I met up with somebody I've been talking with online for about a week. I think it went well! I think she's great, and I hope I get the chance to get to know her better.

I forgot about this part of dating - the tension that comes with wondering what happens next. I hope she doesn't wait too long to go one way or the other. I've got a blank weekend with good weather right now. This is what happens when you just meet people you really like. Argh!

Either way, this particular situation makes me reexamine how I have inadvertently done this to other people. Ugh, I'm sorry!

Sometimes when you want to succeed and be perceived as someone who puts in the time to makes sure your work is perfect... you have to put in the time to make sure your work is perfect.

Occasionally that means leaving work just in time to come back.

It's a design heavily based on Mirror's Edge, a game that didn't take off too high, but contained a lot of elements that I loved (the overall design, the crew of anti-establishment fuck-the-man runners vs an oppressive government, freerunning which I wish I aspire to be better at) and it fit me very well as a complete geek.

Just launched the Minnesota Men's Roller Derby season 3 announcement. It's on now!

This season's going to kick ass, and you're going to want to be a part of it. All of the old favorites are back - Dirty Larry, Bruce Knuckle, of course myself Tucker Smax, Manny Shovitz, Bustin Morenose, and the entire crew... plus a ton of new guys that we'll probably make look silly.

We had two teams before to watch all season last year. Who wants to watch the Skate Pauli Boys whoop up on the Destruction Workers for 4 games AGAIN? Nobody. That's why we have another team - whose identity will be revealed on opening day. Who knows, maybe if I make a few friends here, they will get clued in. Maybe.
