So it's time for an update (finally).
The weather is still wild and crazy in Seattle. A week with snow on the ground (more than 12 inches), albeit it is melting right now, has left the city somewhat paralyzed. It has been beautiful though. I like the silence following a snowfall--that and the way it looks as it covers the branches on trees whether they are large limbs or tiny twigs.
Hejsan! Och God Jul!

Hejsan! Och God Jul!
I just heard that last week it was colder in Seattle than it was in Siberia; that's just crazy!
Glad the sun was out today!
Glad the sun was out today!
The days are getting longer and the temperature is dropping!
What's up with that?
And then there is the rain . . .a good thing for the garden . . . but really . . .
Hope summer gets here soon . . .

OK, OK, so I have not updated for ages . . .
Since spring has arrived here in Seattle, I thought I should get my act together and post an update. The garden is starting to awaken from its winter dormition. It's always exciting to see some it spring to life--specially the obscure plants that I grow such as cardiocrinum, podophyllum and arisaema.
I have been listening to a lot of Swedish music lately--big surprise I know. Anyway I think Sofia Karlsson's music is quite awesome:
Jag spelar för livet translates as "I play for life"
She has an awesome new tune, "Gray Skies" on her MySpace
Happy springtime all!

Where has the summer gone? It has been somewhat elusive but seems to be finishing strong . . .
Thought I should post some more Frida . . .
Here's to extending summer into September!

I think Frida Hyvönen's music is quite awesome
It looks as thought summer may finally be here in Seattle! Just in time for Midsommar!
