so i'm all moved in and shit is good.
i start working from home tomorrow . . . although, they still want me to commute one day a week. oh well. that day will just suck . . .
i'm kinda bored around here when my other half isn't around. i don't have my own friends yet, just his. i guess i'll need to get out . . . SCARY!
hehe.

hairpic:
it's now in my album too. wheee. basically kept it as long as possible and bumped up the volume with curly curly curls.
um. do i have anything else to say?
i start my PAYING job soon - Monday, but not from home yet.
still in the process of moving . . . mostly because i have to stay in enumclaw most of the week for work and we don't have our internet set up yet. which i couldn't live without.
bumbershoot was awesome. my first one where i've been able to drink . . . so that was rad.
fav. bands that i saw: Thao with the Get Down Stay Down, Mono in VCF, Sons and Daughters, Blitzen Trapper, John Vanderslice, Feral Children, Velella Velella, and Xavier Rudd.
although, i also saw a lot of other good bands . . . those were just the bands i saw that inspired me to try to steal their music online . . .
would you like to see a snapshot of some of that musiclove?:

got a haircut and re-perm on tuesday. i like it much better. maybe i'll post pics eventually.
move in day was today.
verdict: it was successful.
i can't wait to live down there fulltime, instead of going back and fourth.
bumbershoot this weekend.

sooooooooo. there is a ridiculous amount of positivity right now in my life. it doesn't make sense . . . i'm at a turning point . . . everything is supposed to be hard!
anyway, we got the apartment last monday. it was a big relief. i'm really excited to move in. i've lived in the same house with my family as long as i can remember, and there has been a lot to dig through and sort/throw away since i've started packing and everything. i've been putting in like 5 to 7 hours everyday on cleaning/packing for the last week and a half. but i've made a lot of progress . . . more than i expected . . .
the weekend that i wrote my last blog i scored this awesome '99 mazda protege . . . the best car i've ever had actually . . . i'm usually left to the devices of my parents to help me find junkers . . . they know nothing about cars and neither do i. this last time my brother-in-law helped a lot, but the car was so nice/clean/perfect i would have got it without him.
last monday i had an interview with subway near where i'm going to move in olympia and i got the job . . . i was going to start this weekend, on friday. so on monday i told my internship adviser dude that i didn't think i could stay with them because i'm moving an hour away and gas is too expensive etc., etc. . . . his response was basically, "well, can you work from home?" . . . OMG! so i'm moving, at 21 as soon as i earn my BFA in graphic design, and getting an at-home graphic design job that pays significantly more than minimum wage! could i be more lucky?! i don't know if i earned this just by hard work of if the stars have aligned, but i'd like to think i'm super lucky because a lot of people are hard workers and don't have luck . . .
I'M SO GRATEFUL!
anyway, i'm sorry that i've been slacking at reading SG lately and responding to your blogs and whatnot. i miss you lovely people! i hope that everything goes your way as well!!!!!!!!!!

on tuesday, i put down a deposit on an apartment in olympia with my bf. we are waiting to hear back about our applications/background checks and on monday we'll know if that's our new apartment or if we have to do another search. it's pretty exciting. the place is up the hill from a lake and there's a trail through the woods right behind it.
plus, it was the biggest place we found in our price range. i'm excited and hope it works out.
tomorrow i'm going car shopping and bringing with me someone who knows more about cars so that hopefully i won't have a junker that breaks in a few months. wish me luck!
otherwise, my internship people have been lazy as hell at getting me set up for more hours/pay! it's frustrating because i need to be making money and they need me for more hours anyway...

i ran out of good luck.
everything was going so perfect in my life (internship wants to hire me, the prospect of moving out with my boyfriend, happy times and lots of love) that the past few days balanced me out.
my bf and i fought a bunch for three days (although, we are amazing at bouncing back) and then, today, my car overheated 1 exit away from where i was going on the freeway. it had to be towed from seattle to enumclaw: about 50 miles. this cost $250, but my insurance paid $100 of that so that helped a little. my car seems to have blown the head gasket, so odds are it's totaled.
my parents are in charge of this vehicle, so they wanted me to take it into our local shop and hear what they have to say which i'll probably find out tomorrow.
what a stressful day.
but the good part of the day today was that i was going to Camp Tomato and meeting my friends there when the car overheated, so they helped to take care of me and we played at Camp Tomato while my car cooled off.
Camp Tomato is basically a day of games, food, and music put on by my favorite cult musician, Jason Webley. It started off with a yummy potluck lunch, but the feature of the camp is the Tomato Raid which is basically capture the flag but with 4 teams and as many tomatoes as possible, in this case about 100, (instead of flags). After the game, Little Big Dipper Dipper played . . . i'll not elaborate on that . . .
anyway, now i'm all sweaty and stressed out and i wanna shower and then go watch a movie and drink some champy.

so i hadn't posted a blog in a while cause, although i'm busy, there isn't a whole lot to say.
i just work really hard at my internship and then party and play when i'm not worring about that... and my future.
my bf and i have started the habit of playing board/card games with another couple who are really good friends with us. makes us seem like dorky old people.
yesterday, my internship dudeguy asked me if i wanted a job with his company... of course i said yes. so basically i'll be getting paid for all the extra hours i put in outside of my internship there. yay!
my bf is here and poking the keyboard and me so i'm gonna leave.

i'm busy these days... that's my excuse for my absence.
last time i posted was before the 4th . . . wow. so that party was fun, and i think it was the most drunk i've seen a lot of my friends. we had burgers and fireworks and silliness.
last week i was on my family vacation. we took the train to ashland, oregon for the Shakespeare Festival. it was pretty fun. i saw five plays: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner; Comedy of Errors; Othello; A Midsummer's Night's Dream; and The Clay Cart. the acting was so fantastic, and a lot of the plays were in different settings than the original play, and it was pulled off really well.
we also went on a jet boat down the Rouge River where the driver tries to drench you by spinning around in the water (etc.), which was what we wanted since it was sooo hot!
we also went on a tour of the Harry & David factory and spent way too much money on goodies!
so it was pretty fun besides the issue of being with my family for a week without any of us getting much personal space. so moodiness happened, but it was okay.
the train was okay except for the fact that we had delays going to and from ashland which were excruciatingly long.
i got back and started my internship on tuesday. it's only for 15 hours a week, so i work 3 five-hour days (tues., wed., thurs.). i think it went really well, and i seemed to impress the people there so far which makes me feel more confident.
i'm trying to get a job at a smoothie shop in my small town right now. i need a summer job before i move out. i'm so friggen broke!
last night i went to see The Dark Knight midnight showing (of course!). i was pretty impressed with a lot of things (heath, attention to detail, effects, etc.), but i think that the original joker flick will always be closer to my heart since i grew up with it and jack nicholson did an amazing job back then. plus, tim burton created a better mood for Gotham, hands down.
one of my close friends is turning 21 today, so tonight i'm going out to play.
i hope you all are doing well.
