Did anyone see Across the Universe? I've always love The Beatles, and I've been known to enjoy a musical every now and then, but when I heard there was a musical based on The Beatles I assumed it was going to be a complete crapfest. Boy was I wrong! If you enjoy The Beatles I highly recommend watching this film, and if you aren't convinced check these out, especially the symbolism with I Want You/She's So Heavy:

Bono does a version of I Am The Walrus and even that didn't crap up this movie. My favorite thing about it is that they picked songs from the entire span of the Beatles' musical career instead of focusing on one specific era, and they managed to make the songs sound original while not completely ruining them from the original versions. Go see this if you like The Beatles! and if you don't, screw you!

i was pretty intrigued by that movie when i saw the trailers. i guess i will have to make sure i see it, now that i know it wasn't a total shitbomb.

How are you feeling about road trip? My other friend doesn't think he'll have the time to do it now, so I'd be out a ride.. I'm debating whether totally changing my plans or what have you.
