today after six months of touring, i go back to working at an animation studio in new york city...hiatus indeed!

California's been fun...but I'm broke and I've gotten waaaaay more job offers in new york, so I'm going back!!!

at least i got to make a new friend out here!

still not sure if i'm going to end up in LA or being a professor back in Rochester or what...

decisions decisions! but for now it's tour! i kinda wanna tour all the way back to philly too, the party at the end of the line is going to be insane!

yeah so i'm in los angeles...so far i agree with big d...i'm pretty east coast so i keep hearing, whatever that means!

this weekend i went to a party at john k's house!? you know the guy who made this:



and i may be working on a series of web cartoons he's got coming up soon which would be awesome!

so far i really don't see why people like LA. nothing really stands out to me, and if it weren't for work and friends i wouldn't be here. Portland, Rochester, Philly and Chicago are my favorites. New York's alright too.

i need someone with some local insight to show me what's rad about this place. i've heard a lotta different things, and some bands i love play at this place called the smell all the time, but i don't have a car...the busses are ok, not as good as portland or ny though. i'm going to give it a chance here, i feel like there's greatness to be found under the surface! i DID meet an awesome girl out here already [ok well in fresno] which is pretty fantastic...maybe more on that later...

one! haha! i sold one shirt! granted it was to an editor at dark horse comics who totally loved it and wanted me to start making show posters so he could publish a book of mine, which was pretty amazing!

i stopped by the SG booth to see if i knew anyone there who i could at least GIVE a shirt to, but the only girl I knew who was working was Meow and she was heading out when i made it over there. ohwellohwell.

the thing that sucks is now i have a ton of shirts and no money!

the past couple of days i've been totally freaking out. i'm pretty broke and my friends have been expecting me to finish off this whole tour thing. it's fun being a rock and roller, but i think i need to work up my animator powers again.

i'm in LA this week...and i'm going to look for a job while i'm here. if i find one i'm staying...but i WILL tour from seattle back down here at least and get bacj mid month.

i'm pretty east coast, and everyone tells me i'm not going to dig it out here, but i figure i should check it out for myself!

tuesday i'm going to try and go to cake's going away party and later in the week i really wanna go visit bobbysox who's threatening to tattoo me...[me with a tattoo? hmm...]

there's a ton of stuff i wanna be doing out here but i really can't do much because i'm down to the bottom of the barrel. but if anyone out there happens to live in LA and knows free stuff to do, a place i could maybe move in or crash mid august, or any other important things i should know about this wacky place lemme know!

ps - drinking a rockstar energy drink a couple hours before bed when you're stressed out = bad idea!

so i hand painted pentagrams on 26 t-shirts i printed today....







i got a lot done! they accidentally sent me 3 guys mediums instead of 8...and 8 girls mediums instead of 4!? what the hell! so if anyone out there is a girls medium and wants to buy a shirt, let me know!!! i'll be selling them at comic con and couple probably ship em out too.

the silver ink i used for 4 of the girls shirts dried really fast in my screen and i had to use a toothbrush to clean it out! it took me about 2 hours. it was pretty retardo.
