My boss is going to be on vacation for 2 weeks starting on Monday. She really needs and deserves this time off, but it's gonna basically suck for me. Some of you know that I don't exactly get along with some of the other ladies in my department. Well, when she's gone, it gets worse. Nobody is there to tell them they have to be nice. Yay.
Anyway, I'll make the best of it. Thank goodness for our temp, Salma. She's awesome, and we really get along, AND she actually sees all the stuff they do and knows how they are to me. Nobody else has ever admitted it out loud. Even my boss, I know she sees it, at least part of it, but she's never come out and fully admitted it.
The Hubbster is at band practice today. So Spencer and I are sitting here watching Jake and the Neverland Pirates. He digs it. Its the first time we've watched it, but we were in the Disney store yesterday, and he kept going to the Jake stuff and looked like he'd like it.
What is everyone doing for the 4th of July? We are taking a road trip up to my Mom's house in Oregon. Gonna ride the Rouge River Jet Boat! Its gonna be so fun! We're also going to her local fairgrounds to see the fireworks on the 4th, which Spencer is going to LOVE.
I'll be sure to post pictures afterwards
Speaking of pictures...I know seeing pics of my awesome kid is the only reason you visit my blog

Photo dump time!
We took our nieces with us to Grandma and Grandpa's house this weekend in Grass Valley
It was a lot of fun, but really really hot.
Left to right: My 12 year old niece, Virginia, my 2 1/2 year old son, Spencer, and my 6 year old niece, Lorelei:

Virginia giving Spencer a piggy back ride in Safeway:

Lorelei and Spencer in their fort under the dining room table:

My little veggie garden:
Cauliflower

I have 3 tomato plants

Yellow Squash

Carrots

Zucchini

OH, and I tripped and hurt my bad knee this weekend. It's really sore, but I can walk on it today which is way better than the past 2 days. *sigh* I can't win for losing.

I asked my husband the other day why it seemed like there was always something wrong with me.
He replied with "Well, you have a few medical issues..."
My Medical Issues:
Migraines
Severe Arthritis of the knee
Asthma
Severe food allergies
>all nuts (especially hazelnuts and peanuts)
>specific raw fruits and veggies (yes I can eat them cooked)
>all melons, cooked or raw
>Niacin (google niacin flush, and times it by 100)
Chronic neck pain from an old injury that was never taken care of
Carpal Tunnel
Horrible teeth
Diet restrictions from stomach surgery over 10 years ago
>Can't eat sausage (except pepperoni for some reason)
>Can't eat very much sugar or I get what's called a "sugar dump" where my body puts all of it's efforts to get the sugar out ASAP making my heart race, my breathing to slow and I start to sweat profusely until it's over, then I pass out from exhaustion)
>Can't eat more than a specific amount otherwise I get sick and end up vomiting. (It used to be a really small amount, but since it was caused by my weight loss surgery, and I've gained back some of the weight, figure it's about the equivalent to 2 medium slices of pizza)
>Can't drink milk, but I'm not exactly lactose intolerant...
I. AM. SO. WEIRD.
On a weird side-note, I ordered new wrist splints for my Carpal Tunnel on Amazon cuz they were way cheaper than at the drug store...and they're the exact same in every way except one is a lefty and one is a righty...and they're sending them separately. What the eff Amazon??

Spencer isn't one to just throw around the saying "I love you".
In fact, to get him to say it the first time, Jeff's mom and I had to take turns saying it to him over and over. Even now, he won't say it back unless he really wants to. And he never just says it out of the blue...
Until today...
Jeff said that he was playing with toys, looked up and said "I love you Daddy"!
Heart = melted

I kind of hate the back button on my phone. I had a big ole blog written out and boom...hit the back button and lost it.
Here it is, in a nutshell:
I want to paint.
I want shelves in our dining nook, new curtains, new kitchen table.
I want to do LOTS of work on our front and back yards.
I have no money, and no time due to a job and a 2 1/2 year old.
Why don't stay at home mom's get paid? I would totally quit my job if I could get paid to hang with Spencer all the time.

I think the migraine is finally on it's way out.
Thank GOD.
How was everyone's holiday weekend?

Migraine.
I just took a vicodin. I've been taking Imitrex for 3 days. If this doesn't help, I may roll into a ball and die.
It's times like these that I wish I had a nanny who could take care of Spencer while I wallow away in the dark and sleep.
