“There's a race of men that don't fit in,
A race that can't sit still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin,
And they roam the world at will.
They range the field and rove the flood,
And they climb the mountain's crest;
Their's is the curse of the gypsy blood,
And they don't know how to rest.”

“Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today.” - James Dean
I turned 27 today. Went out and celebrated with some friends last night, didn't do anything too crazy or wild, but was still a good time. Today, I just lazed about my apartment in Germany and didn't do much of anything. It seems like the older I get, the less eventful my birthdays become. I suppose such is life.
So I know 27 isn't TOO old, but I still feel older now... that much closer to the big "30." That benchmark I set when I was 15 or so for what was officially "over the hill." Of course now I know life doesn't end at 30, life ends when you choose for it to end. I still plan on partying it up well into my 40's... or until my liver gives out. I guess whichever comes first.
Still though, I feel that as long as I'm in my 20's I have license to act like a kid. Once you hit that "magic threshold" of 30, you can still act like a kid but it's not quite as excusable anymore. Oh well, I still have three good years left in me haha. Starting next summer at least a year of that time will be spent traveling around SE Asia taking photos. Can't wait!!
