Sometimes, I feel like I'm riding a rocket launched from the edge of the abyss. I almost feel obligated to change my name to 'Lucky', buy a winning lottery ticket, and enlist to go to the Middle East.

Why would I do such a thing, you might ask?

Because so much is suddenly going right, I feel almost obligated to play the role of the guy in the war movie who shows the hero the picture of his pregnant wife before going out on the suspiciously innocuous recon mission.

I have a fabulous, intelligent, romantic sweetheart of a girlfriend.

I have a job that pays four times what I've ever earned, that will last as long as I deserve it to, and that I can work while wearing my cowboy hat and no pants, if I so choose.

Soon, I will have a loft to call my own, and to throw dinner parties in, and where I can tie the aforementioned girlfriend to the dinner table once the guests have gone home.

And then I will pull the cover of of Dawnrazor, my Kawasaki Ninja ZX636 motorcycle, and I will drive into the desert to buy the first pair of New Rocks I have been able to afford in almost six years.

I said something a while back about taking risks. And even though there was a time when I had no money in my wallet, and no food in my belly, and I was sleeping in a borrowed bed beneath a borrowed roof, I've learned something that was worth all of it, and more.

I can walk the walk.

What is Love?

Is love an endless passion, a hunt, a chase, the thunder of blood in your ears and a burning fire in your heart?

Is it safety, and comfort, a warm place that keeps you safe from a world made out of more razor blades than honey?

Is love a white picket fence, marriage and seeing your features blended with your lovers in the face of your children?

Is it a ceaseless, useless war? Blood and carnage and heartbreak and failure and failure and failure?

Is it a meeting of minds, a marriage between equals, a partnership of warriors?

What is Love to you?

I want to know, because it has been all these things to me, and despite it all, and the end...

Are you a photographer, artist, musician, or a model? do you need a website for your portfolio or business?

Because I need several. I've been working with Flash (the program that makes animated websites) for about two years now and I'm tired of working as a temp in S.F. , so I'm working on getting a portfolio together. To do that, I need clients, so I'm offering to build basic Flash websites for my SG friends with prices starting at $200 to $250. That's about the price of a new pair of boots, and I'm willing to give you twice the site for your value: Four to five pages, a gallery or two (images and/or audio), and a contact page. I can do 3D logo animations, PayPal shopping carts for your merchandise, or animated effects for an additional charge.

If you can provide the images, text, and give me an idea what you want your site to look like, I can make it happen. I'm not doing this forever, just long enough to get a decent portfolio together. If you're interested, just respond to this and we can discuss details.
