I got back from Bismarck last night, I was there for my buddy's wedding, We gave him a sweater tux




I got my Rage tickets as well. I can't fuckin' wait!

I'm so pumped right now, I can't even put it into words. Oh wait, yeah I can - FUCKING RAGE IS COMING!!!!!

I'm bored. Meh.

I got to experience the SG Burlesque show on Saturday in Minneapolis and it was awesome! The band was great - they set the perfect mood for the nite and put on a good show. It was my buddy's birthday and Chloe (if I remember right) wished him happy birthday and gave him a rose, which just about made his year. He was also able to score some titty tape for his autographed poster
The girls came out afterward to sign swag and they were all really cool. I'm super-glad I got to experience SG Burlesque and I really hope if there's a third tour they come back to the Twin Cities as I should be living there by next year at this time so I won't have to drive 400 miles to see it

Well, I survived the Crowes/Nails trip. It was an awesome time and I'm glad I went for a number of reasons. NIN was one of the best shows I've ever seen and Queens of the Stone Age fuckin' rocked! They even ended with Song for the Dead which almost made me shit. And the Crowes show at the Orpheum kicked ass. It was my third Crowes show and it was definitely the best - the venue was stellar too. The Orpheum is a 2600 seat theater built in 1921 complete with box seats and a big-ass chandelier. Cool stuff and a great place to see a rock show.

Now I begin the week-long countdown to the SG show in Minnie. I can't wait.....

OK so I guess I could probably update this thing. It's been a kick-ass summer and a lot has happened since my last journal entry. I went to 10,000 Lakes Fest in Detroit Lakes and had the absolute time of my life. I highly recommend 10KLF to anyone who enjoys music and the art of conciousness expansion The web site is 10klf.com.

While at 10klf I also fell in love with a kick-ass girl. She lives 400 miles away but that hasn't stopped us from seeing each other about half a dozen times since and I'm leaving to see her on Saturday night. We're going to see the Black Crowes at the Orpheum Theater on Sunday then going to Queens of the Stone Age and Nine Inch Nails at Excel Energy Center on Tuesday. Should be a good time.

I also have my tickets on the way for the SG Burlesque show in The Cities on Oct. 22 which I'm totally pumped for. If anybody in the Twin Cities area reads this, let me know if you're going and we can party.

I went to a show last night at Buckstop Junction here in Bismarck and it was a great time. The Soviettes, Grabass Charlestons, Wicked Darling, and some metal band from Nevada were there. It was BYOB and it was a super-intimate setting. It was without a doubt the coolest show I've been to in this shitty town.

Oh, and I got a job working at 10,000 Lakes Fest in Minnesota this summer and my friend got us on the guest list for Les Claypool
I'm hoping I'll get to meet the Black Crowes too....

I am Joe's first journal entry.

I figured since this thing's here I might as well use it. I've always wanted a journal anyway so here's some stuff about my life. I'm currently on unsupervised probabtion for a little incident last summer and I"m supposed to start my substance abuse treatment tomorrow. I figured I'd start it out in style so I drank half a bottle of Crown, popped an adavan and now I'm busting into the Black Velvet, and the more and more I drink tonight the more I see I need some change in my life. I'm dating this girl that I work with right now and it's not going real well. I knew from the beginning that we had nothing in common and that she didn't really "bring anything to the table" and I told her that, I told her we'd make better friends than lovers but still she begged me to give her a chance. So I did. But now she wants to be with me all the time - I can't even spend some time with an old friend that I haven't seen in weeks without her putting a guilt trip on me. Therefore I think it's time to end things with her. The thing that really sucks is that it's nothing she's done - she's been totally cool - she even called me while I was slepeping the other day and asked which book I wanted to read and she bought the book for me. I was really touched by that gesture b/c I know she really cares about me and wants to make me happy but at the same time she's not much of a conversationalist and frankly, she bores me. I dunno, this is just a rant, if anybody reads this and has any insight please share.

Oh, and Lamb of God is playing at Playmakers in Fargo (190 miles away) on Apr. 24th and I absolutely have to go but I have treatment on Mondays so I need to pull some strings to make it happen, If anybody reads this please cross your fingers for me 'cause I haven't seen a badass metal show in like a year.
