did the zombie walk on saturday, it was pretty epic. saw quite a few people there that i knew, a few of whom i invited (so i know that at least a few of those hundred+ fliers i handed out did the trick!) i have a few pictures for anyone who missed it for any reason. they're all from other people, since i opted not to borrow a camera and risk ruining it when i heard there was a 90% chance of thunderstorms. (fyi, it was warm and sunny til about 4:00. gotta love that cleveland weather.) anyhoo, without further ado, i present to you, a small selection of pictures from the 5th cleveland charity zombie walk.

waiting in line with my friend will to get all bloodied up and ready to go. in hindsight, i probably should have just kept my money and used his blood and saved myself 3 1/2 hours of waiting in line, but i'm not complaining. i had fun either way.

zoom image
who's hand is that, you ask? well, it belonged to a poor unfortunate soul by the name of theodore, who i promptly ate upon being turned. he was quite the attention hog all day. there was also a funny incident in which he launched himself at an unsuspecting car, but that's another story.

zoom image
spaghetti brains! this gorgeous undead lady needed a pat on the back for turning the clusterfuck in front of the makeup tent into actual lines. i would have hugged her, but there was no way i was giving up my spot in line.

zoom image
i love watching this guy get ready. he was my absolute favorite last year.

zoom image
check out the eyes on the second zombie from the right!

zoom image
my favorite zombie this time around. when i first encountered the preggo nun, she had a beer cup balanced on her "belly". priceless.

zoom image
i wonder if even billy mays could get this little guy clean? (ok i lied, he was really my favorite this year. i don't think i've ever seen a zombie chase his food so actively!)

zoom image
BRAAAAAAIINSSS!

zoom image
i love seeing friendships that continue on right through death...or undeath

zoom image
and last but not least, the only pre-rain full makeup picture of the day. i got stuck in line almost four hours, but got this done in about 3 minutes or less. hmmm...good thing i was behind friendly drunks the whole time! tongue

and if you're going to be in the cleveland area in september, keep watching my blog because i'll be updating about the next zombie walk as soon as i hear any news. i hope to see more of you there, it's always a great time!

and after the zombie walk, i drove down to kent to watch the events of college fest go down. for any of you not sure what that is (don't feel too bad, i didn't know either til i got there), it's on the same day every year, and every house on college ave. in kent has a party. all up and down the street, just parties everywhere. it was the craziest thing i've ever seen. there must have been at least 3,000+ people on that street at one point, i've never seen anything like it. and there were riot police everywhere, and prisoner transport vans making rounds, and ironically enough, the house i was staying at was the only house not being bothered by those riot pigs. *ahem* i mean police. why is it ironic you ask? well because that particular house has a black flag proudly displayed right out front. and as most of you should know, a black flag is a symbol of anarchy. however, it was also the only house on the street not partaking in the night's partying. we don't need to have 300 strangers getting drunk with us to have fun, thanks. we had plenty of fun just sitting on the porch waiting for a riot to go down. it was a pretty interesting day followed by an equally interesting night.

well i need to get back to my "studies" (and by studies i mean watching natural born killers on my laptop). i have school tomorrow and finals starting next week, so i really need to get my ass in gear. night all.

Man if this was even remotely available to me I would so take part. Also, how is Natural Born Killers? I've never watched it cause I heard Tarantino disowned it, but I have to admit I'm massively curious.

That sounds fun, I believe I''ll try that at some point.

Now I've never seen Natural Born Killers, but from what I've heard one or both of the characters came from an abusive and fucked up household. When Tarantino originally wrote it, the characters were supposed to just be an ordinary married couple who one day decide to go on a killing spree, with no real reasoning for going apeshit insane, hence the title. He disliked giving the characters a background and reasoning for being murdering bastards. Also I think his script focused more on Robert Downey Jr.
