Some doors open, while other doors close.

Doesn't that seem to be a theme in life??

On the job front...I applied for a job back in March. Better money, better hours. I went through the interview process, and got called back in for a second one because it had been narrowed down to me and one other applicant. After waiting almost a month after the oroginal application, I found out that the other person had been offered the position, mostly based on experience. They told me that my app would stay on file, and if something else opened up I would be considered for it. Well, in my life long employment experience they always tell you that, and they never ever call. I guess you should never say never! While I was asleep on Tuesday I got a call from them telliing me another position had opened up, and they would like me to call back to dicuss my interest. Still being a bit negative and cynical about it, I called back expecting to go through the interview process again, and have the job posted so another 50 applicants could join the pool. Well to my elation, she offered me the position right there on the spot!! So I put my two weeks in, and will now be making more money, working better hours, and have more time to devote to photography! Yay for me.

On the other side of the coin, the love life....if that's what one would call it...seems to always fizzle out before it ever gets started. Seems the girls I met a couple weeks ago before I went to Vegas is trying to work things out with her ex. I'm not sure anymore how much interest she had to begin with. I'm not a drunken party all the time college guy anymore....and when I kiss someone, I mean it. I don't just make out with girls because they are there and willing. Maybe that puts me in the minority, but thats how it is. And she kissed me. Why the hell did she have to do that?? I guess I thought it meant genuine interest when it looks like it just meant I was a convenient warm body. Girls, I know how you feel when you say boys are such assholes. Why can't I meet someone who wants the same things I do?

Anyway, that's my update. Still searching for some local girls who are looking to be SGs. Might shoot a set with Diamante soon, keeping my fingers crossed. A couple other hopefulls, but as of now thats all they are.
