So I really like tea... And have spent way too much recently getting kitted out to brew it in a very pretentios way... but it's soo good!
I recently signed up for an acct on Blogger mostly because of how it ties in with Picasa which I like... it gives me a slightly more public place to post pics than just on the SG site... I've also been working to convince Sara to start keeping a journal of some type of her year abroad next year... well I guess starting in sept... She'll be in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia for 4 months then over to hang with me & fam for xmas in BC then on to Montreal until end of april... of course she'll have no money.... so besides being interesting, soliciting "life-style improvment" donations could be fringe benefit... we'll have to see how well it stays updated...

anyway back to watching the french F1 race for me....

Well damnit all.... I'm supposed to be working today... trying to make headway before a looming deadline on monday... and all I've done is check out 10 minutes of an earnings webcast and look at one annual report...
fie! <sigh> yeah.. the unfortunat thing is that it's so damn typical of me... non-work related things that I've accomplished in the same period of time include, troublshooting my wireless network setup (which involved an attic expedition), weeding/watering the garden, runnung from the rain, watching some kung-fu movie on spike, updating acrobat, establishing that even tho I now have better pics on this computer I still can't put up a better one of me because my trial period for PaintShopPro has expired (long ago actually)...
really it wouldn't be an issue as I have several older versions of Photoshop (which I like better anyway)... but I'm trying so hard to keep my laptop free of pirated software now that I'm beyond the "broke student" defense.... I wonder how worth it the effort really is tho.... I like OpenOffice but I can never figure out how to do the things that I want and I never have the time to learn.... which was exactly the same issue that I had with PSP the feww recent times I've used it.... besides that trying to get either of the aformentioned programs (or for that matter most other (consumer) open source programs) to integrate into any "industry standard" workflow is a pain in the ass...
and now I've been sucked into SG and ranting at thin airabout nothing of meaningful consequence....
maybe it's time for another beer and some concerted effort on work so I can relax this evening with minimal stress....
maybe I'll post some pics first.....
