AHHHH OMG. I'm back. I know I've been missing from SG for a little while. So where have I been, you ask? Well, first of all I took a vacation to California to see my family. I missed them a bunch and had an amazing time.

Now I'm back in the middle of no where Missouri. I now have a blond and teal blue mohawk.

I recently became interested in wearing wigs.

I've been getting in a lot of modeling practice in preparation for my next SG set. I think its going to be a self shot set so we will see how it goes. Now I give you pictures from some of my recent photo shoots for other modeling projects.

Attempt at a Jack "Subject Zero" photo shoot. I'm going to re-do a Jack photo shoot once I grow the nerve to shave my head. I really enjoy playing her character, but I really need to be bald to do it right. Also, I did two photo shoots as here. One of them out side in a junk yard, and I was unhappy with the setting, So I did another in front of a green screen to photo shop in a Sci Fi back ground and realized how much work it was going to be.

I'm looking forward to my new set coming out! It's kind of funny, I didn't realize my set comes out on 4/20 and 4pm. Lol.

I got a new phone today. HTC Evo 3D.

I finally made an instagram account.

I did a really awesome feather tattoo at work the other night.

Work has been slowing down. Everyone has pretty much blown all of their income tax money. But I haven't been feeling to good lately so the breaks have been nice.

I started doing Cosplay modeling. Since you guys know how much of a nerd I am, and I don't really know how well cosplay sets will do on SG, My Tron set is pretty close, so we will see how it goes. I applied to be a model on Cosplaydeviants.com and got accepted. I shot a set for my Jack cosplay on Sunday.

These are photos from a test set. We are going to re-shoot closer to sun down so everything isn't so washed out. And so I can make a face other than squinty eyes. Lol.

That's all the updates I have for now. Check out my set preview photos in the Hopefuls group. It doesn't seem to be getting a lot of attention, but keeping it bumbed is greatly appreciated. =]

Planet Comicon was a blast! I got to meet my hero, Edward James Olmos. Although I felt like an idiot because I waited in line for two hours and when I got up there I realized I left my camera at the hotel room, so I paid for a crappy poor quality cell phone picture, lol. But it was better than nothing. And I got a signed picture. We actually stayed at the same hotel with him. We were hanging out in the Hotel lounge/bar area Saturday night and he was there walking around having a drink. And I shared an elevator with him. And he told me to have a good night. I would have talked to him, but he was on the phone. Plus I didn't want to creep him out and I don't think I could have gotten a word out with out blubbering like a twi hard. Lol.

zoom image

I got to meet Robin Thorsen and Amy Okuda from The guild. They were also staying at the same hotel, and I actually ended up talking with them and hanging out for two hours or so. Robin kept handing me drinks, and even though I wasn't wanting to get drunk, who can say no to a famous actress. Lulz. She actually wants me to draw and send her a zombie picture, which is pretty awesome.

I Entered the costume contest. I didn't place, but it was my first time and I'm just proud of myself that I didn't pass out or trip when I was on stage. I actually have no clue what I did on stage, but luckily I found this video on YouTube and I think I did okay. I come on at about 1:40:

The Klingon chick took first and the Hunger Games girl took 2nd. Optimus Prime took Best for overall. I was kind of pissed that the Hunger games girl took second. I mean, it wasn't a bad costume and I know Hunger Games is topical right now, but some of the other contestants *cough*myself*cough* put a lot of work into their costume. And her's involved sewing on a patch and spray painting a bow. Oh well, I still had fun with it and I'll definitely enter more contests. =] I did have a lot of people come up to me after the contest and even all day Sunday telling me that I got robbed and should have won. But that's okay. It was still a blast. =]

I pretty much love this picture, but it was before we ran back to the hotel to get the camera, so sorry for crappy quality, again:

And now time for random pictures taken through out the weekend.

I think my costume came out okay. I had a lot of double takes, but I really wasn't topless. I even heard a few dudes saying, "Dude! Dude, look!" and the other guy had to tell him, "She's wearing a shirt." Lol. I new I would look pretty close to topless because I tested my shirt out before leaving for the convention. My brother was at my house, so I walked into the living room wearing it, and judging by his reaction, it was pretty convincing. =P

Well, that's all for now. Hope you enjoy my blog. I can't wait for the next convention. And I will keep you guys updated about my Tron set. As soon as I have a date, I'll be sure to let you guys know. biggrin

Planet Comicon is this weekend and I'm putting the finishing touches on my Jack cosplay. Almost have everything done. Aside from some minor alterations to the pants, I need the belt shirt, and obviously the tattoos. Still waiting on my nude body suit to come in the mail. I ordered it over a week ago. Worst comes to worst, I'll just draw the tattoos on my body. I am contemplating actually getting the tattoos on the side of my head, though. Since my hair is already pretty short. biggrin

So, my Jack outfit is coming along. I gave up on trying to make a nude body suit, so I just express ordered one offline. But, the pants are coming along. They look huge, but the will shrink down a lot when I start piecing it together.

Photo shoot went really good today. I can finally reveal my theme I've had planned for a long time:

Sylon - The Grid

Hopefully it will be ready to submit soon. And then you will all get to see it in member review! I can't wait. I had so much fun with this set.

So, in other news, its pretty much been the same. Work, create, eat, poop, sleep. So pretty much uneventful. Oh, I did book a trip to California this summer. Can't wait! I haven't seen my family in in almost 6 years.

Alrighty, Have a good one SG land. I leave you with this:

So, its been a while since I've had time to roam SG land. I have a photo shoot tomorrow that will hopefully go up in member review soon. I've been working on everything I need for the set. I don't want to give away the theme, but I put a lot of work into building the set. And since its been income tax time, I've been super busy at work, doing a lot of tattoos. PLUS, I've got another convention coming up, Planet Comicon, in Kansas City. I'll be staying up there for two nights and I decided to cosplay as Jack from ME2. I'm making her outfit from scratch, and I can't seem to get my sewing machine to work, fml. ANYWAY, I'll be back with a real blog, some photos of my costume progress, and hopefully some previews of my new set!

Oooh Emmm Geeee! I had so much fun this weekend at VisCon. I was practically up all night getting the finishing touches on my Ghostbuster outfit. It was a two hour drive and we left early. I thought I was going to be sluggish all day, but after I had my first nerdgasm, I all of a sudden had energy. Our booth was right next to the Mandalorian Mercs and Vader's 501's Legion, and R2 builder's group. So it was pretty much awesome. I got force choked by Darth Vader, flirted with a storm trooper, met a Sith Inquisitor, got to see a guy get shot, got chased by a zombie, got saved by a group of zombie hunters, including a chick in a bikini with a bandoleer (I guess its true for women that less clothes means more protection?) AND I got arrested by the Empire for being a Cylon. Prepare to see a lot of pictures below:

Best pick up line ever: When I'm around you I'm like a level 4 Metapod; all I can do is harden.

SO how is everyone in the SG world doing? I'm doing fantastic. I finally got accepted into a cosplay group of Ghostbusters. They actually have an Ecto 1. Its made out of a Dodge Magnum, but still, it fuckin awesome.

And here's a picture of a few of the members:

Yup, they are legit. I'm working on making my Proton Pack. I know its not cannon, but I already asked them if I could wear a jump suit looking dress, for a more feminine look, instead of the regular jump suit and they are totally cool with it. Hopefully I can have my full out fit complete for the convention next month. Can't wait.

Also, for anyone who know the arrow to the knee joke, here you go:

I've been talking back and forth with a professional photographer about doing another SG photo shoot. I'm super excited about the theme. I won't say it now, as I don't want to spoil it. But I really can't wait. I'm still happy with my first set. I got a lot of feedback from it and some really good advice. I know it was still amateur in both photography and modeling aspects so I'm not expecting it to be bought. Which may be why I'm not pushing it to get more love. Either way, I'm super excited for this next set. And kind of nervous shooting with a professional photographer. Its one thing to be name in my bed room with my friend taking pictures. But I know I'm confident with myself and I'm sure it will turn out super awesome. The theme is just, great. Ok, I can't keep secrets, here it is

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

JUST KIDDING, you have to wait. =P

Lol.

Work is going awesome. Here's an Alice In Wonderland piece I did the other day:

I still feel like I haven't done a perfect tattoo yet, but I think this got pretty close. I was really happy with it. I'm just excited to learn and get better. I have a three year contract with the shop I'm working in right now. And I love working here so I'm pretty sure I'll stay here longer. But with in that three years I've set goals for myself to become, not only a better tattoo artist, but a better artist all around. But anyway, hope everyone is having a good night. =]
