Current state of the tattoo. More work planned for tomorrow. It's taking a long time because we're shading it using stippling instead of a wash, but both the tattoo artist and myself are pretty excited about it.

An added bonus is it's a friend of a friend, and he needs a new website which I'm designing, so the tattoo is basically free.
I saw a really great post-rock band a few weeks ago, El Ten Eleven. It's just a guy on drums and a guy on a double neck guitar using loops. They really blew me away with out effortless it all looked.
I guess you could say I have varied music taste as the concert I went to a few weeks before that was Converge, and they were awesome, though I went a little deaf from the show for a couple days. Worth it.
Work, even though it's supposed to be the off peak season for the "world famous Seattle attraction I work at," has been busier than ever with the holidays. Especially New Years. I still really love it though and I try not to complain too much.
I put a lot of effort in to a few things recently that didn't really pan out, but at least I tried something different.
Outside of work I have been unmotivated on my creative endeavors. The shame of my unfinished projects hang on the walls

My 80% finished squid triptych. Plus my mom's sewing machine I borrowed to make pillows that I abandoned because I couldn't find any cool fabric.

My 0% finished painting I won't let myself start until I finish the squid.
In the grand scheme of things I have things pretty good. The pieces of the puzzle I'm missing are small and I'll find the right fit eventually.
