Have you ever noticed that no matter how hard you try, no matter how deep you dig - your crap always seems to ooze out? Plus it seems to come out in some very odd ways...

OK, sometimes we don't dig and our "issues" lurk around in the background pulling our strings. This jerks us around to behave in ways that don't make any sense. With the exception of those who know our history, they just sit there and grin as we make an ass of ourselves.

Without getting into the details, I find myself going into a state of panic when I have "friends" sleeping over. It seems the more I grow to care about them more this little phobia pops up.

I'll wake up and immediately wonder if the person is still alive... are they still breathing? I touch them to find that they're still warm so at least it's not been long - there's still hope of saving them. Then I'll hold my breath, move close to listen for their heart beat.

Each and every time there is huge relief when I feel there body breathing in and out. Of course this all done in a state of fuzzy sleepiness which turns to embarrassment when I fully wake up to realize what I've done.

Ahh well, it appears that there are still a few things left to consider the next time I hang out on the "old leather couch".
