So, change of plans. I was not able to move as soon as I wanted. I was hoping to move on Dec 1 or 2, but didn't actually move until Dec 18. I could not find a car and my parents were no help and were fighting with each other about every day. It was so stressful. I just wanted out of there! I'd already paid December's rent too, so that really sucked. & my last day was Black Friday so I was without work for almost a full month before I moved.

I ended up buying a car off of my friend Kim. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing lol. She was helping me look for cars with her husband, since his friend from high school works at a lot. Nothing there was really working for me, but then all of a sudden Kim is test driving a Saab and asks if I want to buy her car. Uh, sure! It's a pretty good car. 2000 silver Monte Carlo. Not bad for a first car, I'd say. & I got a killer deal on it.

This happened on the 15h of Dec I believe. The 16th they filled their paperwork, and then the 17th she gave me the title. I was planning on leaving the 18th (a thursday) because Mona (the owner of where I was supposed to work) was going on vacation for 3 weeks the next day, so I was gonna come up and meet all of the managers and get everything figured out. I wasn't totally packed, but I needed to leave, so I just packed what was important and planned to leave in the morning after I got plates for the car and ran a couple errands. Well, I ran into every single problem imaginable. It was a nightmare. Then I get a call that a huge storm is coming in so Mona will be leaving ASAP which means I won't be able to meet and talk with her, but she apparently let her managers know who I was and they'd be able to take care of me once I got there.

So the 19th I call around to Zambucas and nobody answers. She has 2 other managers at the strip clubs (Showgirl 1 & 3) that were both supposed to be able to help me too and nobody answers at either of those places. This went on for a couple weeks. If anybody did answer, whoever I needed to talk to wouldn't be there. I managed to talk to the manager at zambucas and he said he hadn't heard anything about me and didn't know who I was. WTF? I finally talk to one manager (Jen) and she says I need to talk to Neil and she left a message with him and he'd call. He never did. And of course all this time Mona is on vacation so I can't talk to her. I called every day with no luck. Christmas passed, New Years passed. It had now been a month and a half of me not having a job at all., and I didn't really have any set aside before so I was totally broke. It sucked. I'd been living there about 3 weeks with nothing to do. I started cleaning (which would be astonishing to you if you knew me lol). I didn't know how to get anywhere and I don't know anybody here so there was nothing to do. Thankfully on New Years Eve my best friend Holly came to visit. It was so much fun, I love her. But she was only here for 2 days. And nick of course was freaking out because he had to pay for everything and didn't know how long his money would last, because his hours got cut at work. I talked to the manager at Zambucas again and he agreed to meet with me, but said he'd just hired somebody before I moved and didn't really need any more staff. Agh. It was such a mess. I'm glad it's all behind me.

FINALLY, a little over a week ago (Tuesday) I called and managed to talk to Neil. I explained how I'd called every day and hadn't been able to get a hold of anybody and he was like "well did you come in and fill out an application?" and I told him Mona already had mine on file. and he was like "well if you'd just come in I'm sure we could have had you working by now." Um, excuse me? How can I know when to come in if every time I call you're not freaking here? Ugh. So I go down and meet him (at the strip club again) and he says he could probably use me on the weekends, starting that weekend, but at a strip club. he said he'd probably have me float between all 3 places (Zambucas, Showgirl 1 & Showgirl 3). Then the next day he called and asked if I could come in that night at SG3! Yikes! I was so unprepared but f course I didn't say no. It was amateur night though, so that was really confusing and hectic. I've worked 3 times since then, and now I work tonight through Saturday every night. 8pm-4am. The hours kinda suck, but I've always been a night owl so it's not so bad. But I usually can't fall asleep until like 6 so that sucks. and nick works the opposite schedule of me so we don't get to see eachother often but at least I'm finally working again.
