I don't think I'll ever be a cigar smoker but I sure like the smell of a good cigar. I don't know what kind he smokes but one of my neighbors always spends his Sundays drinking bourbon and smoking cigars in his backyard. I love when the smell wafts in to my window. Quite a handsome man for his age too. If he were thirty years younger or I thirty older I think I'd be looking for a reason to stop by and share a bourbon or two.

Instead I find myself drinking alone and thinking about lost opportunities.

Haha! Move in next to me. I've got the cigars and the 30 years younger covered.

Heh. Smells are such funny things. I remember growing up, how I loved the smell of vanilla extract... and then one day, I tasted a drop and... yikes, vanilla overload. Some things are better from a distance than up close. Coffee, the same... although that's a taste I have acquired. And I'll take coffee ice cream over vanilla, any day. biggrin

I hope some opportunities find you. And knock just as often as they need to. smile

I'm not a regular cigar smoker but I have to admit it is a guilty pleasure. I'm looking forward to a good cigar and a sazerac when I'm in New Orleans next month.

I still have not acquired to chops to drink bourbon straight but have had a couple of out of this world bourbon based cocktails over the past year. Familiar rituals are nice to come home to.

What is the point of drinking alone and thinking about lost opportunities?

So long as there's relocation assistance and a healthy severance package, I would consider it. I'd probably need a little more enticement. How's the sushi out there?

Fair enough. As long as you're happy at the end of the day.

Sadly they really have no good way to give feedback to the management. They are very defensive and take anything people say very personally. I'm thinking that it is just time to move on.

I wish I liked the smell of cigars. My dad smokes them and I hate them. puke
