Apparently. I'm also sweaty and looking forward to 2011. How was everyones' New Year? I had an epic time followed by a week long cold... that never leaves.

This Summers weather has been beautiful but I feel a metamorphosis happening to me. Hopefully, I won't turn into a Jackalope.


Perhaps the reason why I have been M.I.A. is due to the fact that the "My SG" section changed so much and I was tired of adapting to its constant reconfiguration.

So... my mom had her first chemo treatment Friday and it went very well until this morning. She had an allergic reaction to the chemicals(meds) and I brought her to the ER. All is well and it looks like this whole process will literally be a day-to-day-see-how-it-goes-kinda thing.

On a lighter note.
My class starts tomorrow and I will be leading a pack of 10 female students. Should be fun as always

What has changed for me? Well... I'm no longer attached to strings.


I had a wonderfully, great relationship until, yet again, the girl could not handle the relationship and she drove herself into a mental & emotional wall that I could not overcome. I learned many things from that relationship, but now I'm focusing on...


I have a job. After 6 months of unemployment (4 of those months fighting the state and my ex-boss in the courts before I even got my first unemployment check) and 7 months as a contractor for the company that I currently work for, I am a full-time employee with every benefit up the Wazoo and for once, I can sigh a breathe of relief for stability.


I have been talking to someone great...

Today, I met up with a zoologist in Sommerville and sold sold him my corn snake at Dunkin Donuts. We had coffee with OJ and he told me a fantastic story about receiving a giant squid when he was working for the American Museum of Natural History in NYC. He also told me that there is a book called Rarest of the Rare which has odd-ball, eccentric stories about the many animals in collection at the Harvard Museum. Such fascinating stories that you can read about:
A scientist's collection of tape worms from Boston's Upper Class... like J.D. Rockefeller and the like. Yes, you can actually see a tape worm that was up J.D. Rockefeller's ass at the Harvard Museum. Or, the story about a paleontologist who discovered a Wooly mammath carcass and his boss excavated the body before the paleontologist who found it could retrieve it. In retaliation, paleontologist went to his boss's house, stole the skull, killed his boss, chopped him up into little pieces and discarded his body in the woods. The scientist went to jail.
I'm buying this book tonight on AMAZON!

I am NOT DEAD!


Um... I have been a stranger in these parts for several reasons but I hope that will change. Basically, I have a new job that I do enjoy but it requires me to commute 2+ hours each day. On top of that I started my business part-time and my free days are spent... working. Even further on top of that, I am in between two homes: I moved out of my mom's house to live at my gf's house because I cannot live with my mom anymore... various reasons!

Alas! I'm going to see the Mighty Mighty Bosstones play at Hampton Beach ballroom tonight and follow the festivities with drinking wine and watching TRUE BLOOD with my gf and our lovely lady friend

I hope all of you are doing well and I hope to socialize more-so

- the green bird died.
- I start my new job Tuesday; my new schedule will be from Tuesday to Saturday.
- I had the flu all of last week... both my gf and I took turns taking care of each other when we were sick.
- Burmese tortoise has a great home in sunny Florida.
- I will be getting 3 new turtles in a few weeks
(I've come to the conclusion that I will set up a 200 gallon pond and have all of my adult turtles co-habitate)
- I surfed for 30 cold minutes before I got sick.
- once I'm better in health I have stellar tattoo waiting for me.
- I haven't been to a concert in over a year!?
- I think my blue-tongue skink is pregnant... again!
- I'm waiting for the Spring/Summer line-up of movies to begin!
- I've made new friends (you know who you be).
- we are finally watching Slumdog Millionaire tonight.

I'm not sure if I want to write here anymore.

I'm much more of a loner in nature and I tend to write when things are going good in life and I'm happy. I'm not happy.

However, I'm happier than I have ever been because of having my girlfriend. It's like living on 2 different planes in life. I'm a happy duck with her. However, I can't land a job for the life of me and for the most absurd reasons. For once in my life I'm not sure how things will turn out.

All I know... is I want my girl next to me, some water to surf in, good friends around and a glimpse into miracles from time to time.
