All this rain... everything is so green! Pony loves it too... hanging out on the front lawn, eating grass, digging in gopher holes, and tackling the rosemary bushes.

I am now snuggling with a three-legged pittie that smells like rosemary and fritos on the couch... and not at all embarrassed to say smelling her makes me really really hungry. But it's 1:51 am. Gah!

I came home after getting my ass kicked by an 88 y/o in yoga class to find out that Pony got press on NBC!! She is competing in the World 3-Legged Dog Idol competition - LOL Thanks to my friends who voted for her - it's not over yet, Smudge so don't get so smug!

Meet Pony, my valentine. She's a tripod. I've been taking care of her since her amputation. She was hit by a car in Berkeley on New Year's Eve and left by the side of the road. Someone picked her up & brought her to the shelter. Isn't she a cutie?

I have been referring to my late AnnaB as my "star" because she was one and there is/was no other place I'd rather be, than at the beach with my AnnaBoo.

16 days. 16 awful horrible dreadful days and 15 awful horrible dreadful nights.

I FINALLY have my beloved AnnaB home with me. I picked her up tonight.
It feels SO good to have that squirt back home with her sis 102 & NEW FOSTER PUP, "Pony," I can't even tell you how overjoyed that makes me. ♥ I got hella mo-jo hangin' on my neck now... a silver heart of 102 & a gold star filled with Annabelle, 'cause she was a super-star.

Hopefully, now I will be able to SLEEP. Two even three Ambian would only give me about four hours without waking up from some crazy dream. I really haven't slept good or much at all since the first week in Dec when she first fell ill. No news yet on her wisdom panel (breakdowns of what breeds made up my beautiful AnnaBoo) but hopefully soon.

I am going to keep 2/3 of her ashes, and the remaining 1/3 are going to be spread along our two favorite routes: our walks at the beach here in Pacifica and the walks up in our neighborhood hills. We had special spots everywhere. ♥ I should save some to spread in NYC too, in Chelsea, the Village, and in Brooklyn.

Blog & pictures to come soon of Pony Girl. We spent the afternoon in Berkeley with Paco & our awesome friend Ana while she made some custom gear for the girl to "hop" around in. Unfortunately, Paco's new sister, Xochitl (So-chee), a Xoloitzcuintle, an ancient breed of Meso-American pariah dog, was at doggie daycare so I didn't get to meet her!

From a wild Louisiana street dog that became NYC diva strutting her stuff in Chelsea to a Pacifica beach bum that was SO close to earning her Canine Good Certificate (CGC) award. Amazing.

he said it was really cool how she made it out of the hurricane and into my life.
i wish i could also get ahold of him and tell him to not donate to hsus (he does every year) i mean it is his choice, but they are unethical in some respects, especially when it involves bully breeds.
