Here I am taking my first look at our new tour bus. Shot on Day 1 of The Panic Channel's North American Tour with Rockstar: Supernova, January 16th 2007. In this little clip we see Stephen Perkins and our new touring bass player Siggy. I'll be posting more vids here and on thepanicchannel.com as we make our way back across the U.S. and Canada.

About to go on tour in 2 short weeks. (!!!) Really excited to get back on the road. The first show is in Miami, then we work our way back out West with jaunts up to Canada. Can't wait to see Vancouver. Also Montreal and back to Toronto. I have a Canadian Curiosity you could say.

Other stops I am eagerly anticipating on the six-week trek are: New York City (of course), Miami (never been), Colorado (see the folks), Phoenix AZ, then back home (almost) at Long Beach Arena.

Starting to pack and get my mind into mobile mode. Can't wait to be on my way.

Tonight I'll be pulling out the acoustic guitar and playing a little solo acoustic show here in Hollywood at the Dragonfly (6510 Santa Monica Blvd). It'll be Steve's choice - a couple of my songs, a few covers, and most of 'em bummed out love songs. Don't say I didn't warn you.My friend Frankie Palmer will be playing before me at 9:45 (actual time), please come check him out - he's really great. The show is 10 bucks, but if you send me your name before 7pm (SG mail is fine) I'll put you on the 5 dollar list. Cya there!

It's Sunday afternoon, December, Christmas season, and as usual its bright clear hot sun outside and it feels like June. This is the kind of weather that non-Californians experience this time of year, fall in love with it and decide to move here. Well my friends, you can fucking have it. I want more weather, rain, overcast clouds, something to let me know that I don't live in a television show. Cause I don't. Lately I feel like I barely live in a life.

My friends are probably sick of hearing me complain about the "perfection" of Los Angeles weather cause I do, often. I am sure if I lived in New York I'd be bitching about that, but at the moment, I'd rather be in the snow and wind and cold. Nothing seems to change here. All of this kind of thinking factors into what I'm calling Steve's Exit Strategy 2007. I can't go into too much detail about it here, cause the walls have eyes, but I'm putting serious thought into leaving town.

Let's change the subject.

This Thursday I'll be joining Camp Freddy for a show at Hollywood's Avalon Theater. I think it's a benefit, not sure, but I'll be singing "Highway to Hell" which is one of my favorite things to do. Show up, sing one song, then just hang out. Love rocking with no real pressure. Don't know who else will be appearing, it'll be a surprise.

In related news that isn't really news, but is the kind of tedious personal shit that you find on blogs, I am STILL sick. I went from never getting sick, like once every other year, to having a cough for 3 weeks now. Been through 3 different scripts of antibiotics and now am just about to go to the doctor again tomorrow. I'm lovin' it! It sucks cause there is a whole embarrassment factor associated with being ill, like you say "I'm sick" and are somehow admitting that you are fallible. Weak. Like Darwin's law of survival of the fittest is about to swing 'round and kill you first. Or possibly I am reading too much into it, but with 3 solid weeks of coughing bits of your lungs out you have plenty of time to think of these things.

Still playing Gears of War, which is fantastic, and also got a Nintendo Wii the day they came out, because I had to. I know myself, and I would have been obsessed with the Wii until I had one in my hot little hands and could check it out. It's really amazing, I love it. They were brilliant to make a game machine focused on easily having fun, and playing games socially, as opposed to Sony who just made a bloated, expensive Xbox360 with weaker online capabilities.

Fuck the PS3. Sony blew it - I hope they fail miserably with that one. I'll only get one if in a year it's unbelievable and clearly the best machine, but I don't see that happening.

The Wii is actually the kind of tech that moves forward all tech - it will certainly shift how people are able to interact with screens in the future, just like the iPod re-arranged how we approach our music. The Wii games aren't fantastic yet, but I am pretty optimistic that the momentum they have at the moment will bring some great and truly unique games to the Wii in the coming years.

Plus its fun to invite people over, get all wine silly and play.

Last night I played an acoustic show with Dave and Perk at the Dragonfly. It was a charity thing hosted by a porn company, so there were loads (get it?) of porn folks there. Luci, Cin, Marie and many more friends were there partaking in the festivities as well. The night ended up being super super fun. We played Blue Bruises, Why Cry, Outsider, and two covers: Pinball Wizard and Highway to Hell.

I STILL have this fucking cough that has been hassling me for 2 weeks. I was a little worried about the voice not pulling it off last night, but I screamed through that shit and made it work. Thats how I do. Didn't see any orgies or blowjobs in the booths to my mild disappointment. I did see some extremely large pneumatic breasts sharing our dressing room, though. I have to say that I've never been to a "porn world" event before, and everybody was absolutely super sweet and polite. Had a really great night.

Afterward we went to the 101 cafe and I rocked me some pancakes and bacon.
...Yes, my beloved vegan friends, bacon.

Okay, I'm ready. The windows are closed, the phone is off. I have enough food and party favors to last for a solid 72 hours or so. Stocked up and water. I'm showered and clean (for now).

Have my copy of Gears of War, and am properly boxed into my apartment and plan to give this fucker a solid run through. Will it live up to the hype? Will I set foot outside before the weekend? How will I smell?

So many questions.

If you want to play some multiplayer, my xbox live name is "steveisaacs".

I have had a cough for a week now and its driving me nuts. Don't have insurance so I am getting out the big guns : theraflu, emergen-c, and lots of water. And trying to find antibiotics on the thriving los angeles pharmaceutical black market. Right now I am breathing in steam from a little inhaler I have.

It's terribly fucking hot in LA right now, I hate it. It's November for Christ's sake, ACT LIKE IT!!! And we all know what is to blame for this unseasonal heat, right? Al Gore told us...

...The Republicans.

Please go vote - I fucked up and got my change of addy in 2 days too late to vote - I am sooo bummed. Please someone go out and vote for me. And say away from the "R"'s.

Borat fucking owned all comers on Friday - Opening night with Manda, Darin, and a few other choice gypsies. Go see it - its actually worth the hype.

Saturday loft party with L, M, M, D. Hammock under the stars. Good Timez.

and went to the newly reopened Griffith Park Observatory last night - it's been closed for 4 plus years and now is re-open to the public, via reservations. Don't go - it sucks. The bus ride up the hill (the only way to go now) was a 40 minute nightmare, and there were lines to do anything, and frankly I didn't see hardly ANY differences with the big renovation. I'm serious, like a new gift shop. Skip that shit.

Went to Costa Mesa last night to play a show with Camp Freddy (an all star cover band, that sometimes asks me to come sing a song or two). I did The Cult's "She Sells Sanctuary". I didn't get to do my new favorite CF tune AC/DC's "Highway to Hell", cause they gave that to Chester from Linkin Park. He did a great job at it.

Saw some Panic Agents which was nice, and generally had a blast. The drag was that something I ate or drank last night apparently wanted to kill be, cause when I got back to L.A. I spent the rest of the night and part of this morning puking my guts out. Like way over the top cartoon puking. Projectile, my friends. I feel like I got in a brawl with my digestive system. All I had to eat today was a swig of Pepto BIsmol and a glass of Alka Setzer. Right after I finish typing this, I am going into the wild world of...

chicken soup.

Happy Birthday Jersey - and I hope everyone has fun at the party tonight!

Halloween Season update:

Stay the fuck away from Universal Studios halloween thing. It sucks ass. I love my Halloween like I love nothing else, but the gaybags over at universal know nothing - it closes early, the lines were 60-90 minutes, they CLOSED rides early, etc. SUPER not reccomended.

Now Knott's Scary farm - that shit is ON this year, and will probably be great like every year.

Also on the shedule is Dia de los Muertos in Hollywood Forever Cemetery on the 28th.
