I use to be on Effexor when I was in high school and it made me was to sleep all the time and not feel like my self. And when I tryed to get off them I got sick a lot but that's with almost all meds like that. Maybe it will work better for you when I took itit was many yars ago almost 10 years and I'm not sure if it's the same one I was on but the name sounds like it. Good luck
