is going back into the studio with my new-ish band Dead Country. Should be awesome... We're going in today to start rehearsing some new songs and should start to record tomorrow or the next day. Not sure exactly whats going to come out of this but am excited to try some new things. We are planning on putting out our record in the spring, so we have some time but the sooner the better so that we can find a suitable label to work with before then.

It's interesting recording a full length record that will be released without using a producer. It's a lot more pressure on us to be perfect. Not that we need help writing songs, it's just that having a talented ear to bounce ideas off of has become a pretty nice luxury. We shall see what happens from here.

Life is pretty good these days... My band is finishing up the new record and honestly I cant wait. I think Im going to be pretty happy. Im definitely ready for it to be done, thats for sure. Other than that, just interning and looking for a job... I need some money. Anyone know of any really cool, mellow, well paying, music related jobs in LA? I didn't think so... I finally posted some pictures of my tattoos. Took me long enough. Enjoy.

So I am in Austin, TX right now recording a new record for my band Murderland. We have been here for about a week and things are moving along smoothly. Were doing guitars and vocals now, and the bass and drums are already done. I'm getting pretty stoked on all of this, though I'm a little bummed we haven't gotten to hang out in Austin very much. We don't know anyone here, so we have no one to show us around. It's probably good in the sense that we are concentrating on working on the record, but I at least want to experience Austin a little while I'm here. If anyone has any ideas, I'll be around until the 1st...

So today is pretty much the day... I'm moving to Hell A. I'm definitely a little nervous but excited at the same time. In fact at the moment, I'm procrastinating the final pack to write this here blog. Thats pretty standard. Its been a crazy week, and its about to get even worse. Starting tomorrow, I have 8 shows in 6 days. Thats what I get for playing in 3 bands I guess. Its going to be fun, but extremely tiring. After Halloween, I'm gonna be stoked to just sit around and not play music for a couple of days. But Halloween in Santa Barbara is always fun, and this year is going to be no exception, especially considering its going to be my last one here. I get to play with some really good friends and its going to be an awesome show. After that its time to start exploring my new neighborhood of Silverlake and start anew.

Oh, and I'm also excited that I'm getting tattooed on November 18th by Nathan Kostechko... so that should be rad. I will post pictures up here after. If you live in LA, hit me up and show me around that god forsaken city and make me like it. I think I could use all the help I can get.

Im back from tour. It was pretty rad. I missed my bed, but it was still a really fun tour. Now its back to plans of moving... someone remind me why im moving to L.A. again.... fuck...
