I've been so lazy towards SG!!! just looking at set evey now and then.... but that's it!!! I'm such a shitty interweb friend!!!!!

I haven't had any time lately to spend on SG, but I'm still alive. I miss everyone here, but life has gotten complicated and exciting so I must step up my game.
I just did an art show in mid January with some friends, I"m taking part in the Art Matters festival in March, and I'm starting to work on another show for the summer and a big pasting project also. School is going well but keeping me mad busy. I actually have to get back to some homework!!! Some pictures first!!

I've been told by a couple of people to write a new blog, so I will. I have been incredibly busy all summer with shows and street stuff that my time was limited. Plus now I'm back in school so my time is even more limited. I really don't have much to say, things are good but a little stressful, I'm still madly in love with the ever so beautiful Rubix, and life's sweet.

I do on the other hand have a lot of pictures to show of all the art that I've been so busy with.

This is a mural I did with two other artists for Maclean's magazine's website. I did it with GARY and IDEA.... two wicked graf artist that let me do some pasting on this collaboration!!! There's a time laps video also.

So I finally have some time to sit down and write a new blog!! I think it's about time!! The last one I wrote was almost a month ago. Yikes!! I hope some of you still remember me!! I don't even know what I should really talk about cuz I don't remember what I've told you guys anymore.hahaha. Well I finished my first year of school, I'm back at work for the summer, and I just finished working my ass off for an art project. hahahaha
The Seed Quilt art project turned out to be a great success!! There was for sure over a hundred people that came for the big opening. Some of artist even managed to sell some work including myself... so that was really encouraging!! I got to meet so many people and made some great contacts. Many more shows gonna be lined up soon for me!! So many pictures were taken so I'll share a few.

I worked endlessly before the show to produce new stuff, and these are my newest favorite creature creations. I basically finished them, framed them, and right away hung them on the wall so I never got a chance to enjoy them. Now 3 of them are sold!!!! Oh well I'm really happy to sell em... someone else will enjoy em and I have pictures. Plus I'm going to make tones more... I love these little bastards!!!





So now I'm taking about a week off of art to spend some time with Rubix, jeez I thought she was going to leave me cuz I had no time for her!!! She's the best and totally supports me... gosh I love that woman!!! Totally gonna marry her one day!!!! hahahaha I have another show in August and I want to make 25 new paintings for it but I need some time with my lady first!!
Tell me what's going on with you guys!?! It's been forever since I've talked to a lot of you... so fill me in!!!!

Just another quick post!!! I'm almost done school.... well classes are all done with but I have a final project to finish before my final critique!!!! YIKES!!!!!!!!

This is going to be another quick post...... but this time I'll put some pictures!!! I have some art work that I just finished so I'll show yall!!! School is almost done and I'm excited for summer to get here. I can't complain as I've been having a great time at school. I was just recently asked to be part of a big art project that will be happening at the end of May!!! I'm really really excited for this!!!!!! I'll have more details to tell you soon!!!! Anyways I have to get back to work..... I have a 15 page paper to write and a couple more drawings!!!!! Yikes!!!!!

Just a quick post...... that's it.

Oh my it's been forever since I've had the time to visit SG!!!! I have a big picture update for yous!!!!!!! haha

I've been working like mad on all my school work but it's amazing cuz I'm producing so much work!!! I really didn't know what I was going to think about doing the whole university thing, but so far I'm enjoying it immensely!!

This is one of the first drawing projects that I did when we got back from the holidays. It was a project that had to deal with the inner working of a building. We went to the boiler room at school for ideas and sketching and this is the outcome of my sketches.

When we were in the boiler room we weren't allowed to touch anything, but there was all these arrows that were pointing at tones of levers ad buttons that I really wanted to touch!!! Arrows are a huge parts of graffiti also so I thought it was fitting.

That project above was a build up to our main project that had to deal with architecture and drawings. It was up to us to come up with an idea that used architecture as a basis for the final piece, and not necessarily architecture drawings. I didn't have to draw plans for a building if you know what I mean.Anyways this is what I came up with. It's done on a wood panel, using paper macher, ink, and lots of paint!!!!! Boy did I ever make a mess in my house doing this one!!!

I like the way it turned out!!!

I did some printing in my litho class also. It turned out alright but I have to say that I'm not that big a fan of the process in litho printing so my hearts not into it at all. I also had a cast on when I started the drawing on the stone and the cast kept smudging the drawing. Anyways the prints came out successfully... so I'm happy about that.

Now this is my huge painting project that took me forever!!!!!!! Seriously I put in close to a hundred hours of work into this piece!! Each color you'll see has at least three coats of paint on to get it so vibrant. I wanted to do a piece that is a color overload.... in a way I wanted it to be so bright that it would be a little painful to look at. This is something that I'm going to be working on in the future.... color explosions!!!! I took pictures as I was doing it so I can show you in steps some of the work. The piece is 5 feet by 4 feet and all painted by brush using acrylic.






And the finished product!!!!

I'm so pleased with the finished product.

Then this is the last drawing project that I did. It was self portraits.... we had to do five of them using different facial expressions. I love simple single line drawing that you would see in old information booklets and magazines. Anyways I attempted to do that with my face.... I really like how it looks although drawing myself was kind of weird. I look pretty funny!!! hahaha










Well that's what I've been doing lately... so you can kind of see why I haven't been around lately!!!! Gosh I miss everyone here!!! I haven't even had time to leave any love on all the great sets that have gone up lately... which is what I'm going to go do right now!!!
