Well, this unemployed thing sucks. I get quite a bit on unemployment though so it's ok. I have a resume together, got all of my pre college things taken care of, the house is spotless and, oh yes, I have made a ridiculous amount of zucchini bread. I'm not so good at the sitting down to relax thing, I go stir crazy entirely too easy. And thank you Intru, Jesstrofunk and MrRek for the good luck, that was very nice.
I'm going to try to get a job in a medical office in order to get my foot in the door for when I finish my nursing degree (in five-ish years!). But I'm excited to go back to college, make some new friends, get some more smarts. Fun fun! Good night!
Well the shitty economy has struck. After 5 years of an amazing job,
I have been laid off do to the unneeded downsizing of a large corporation. And do to this downsizing, 75% of my company's work has gone to our shifty eyed and shadey competitor. Fuck you large corporation ass holes shutting down the small man who actually needs the goddamn money to support a family, not a cocain habit!
Holey shit, been a busy as hell last week/ weekend. Haven't even gotten time look at beautiful new sets girls have put up or play around on here at all. I'm still at work right now and have to get back to playing boss lady! Then tonight I have study to retake a math college placement exam. I aced reading and writing, but math... no bueno! Ok, back at it!
One Flaw In Women
Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution..
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they
think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have vital things to say and everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN, IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

Happy Monday! I had a very busy and very fun weekend. Saturday I woke up early and drove to the Saturday Market. Walked around there for a bit, made my rounds with the usual yearly people I like oh so very much (Erin). Bought a "love cuffs" paining from my favorite SM artist, then headed on home. After that I got my swim suite on and drove down to part of the river I'd never been before. It was beautiful, like a glorified beach. We did a little swimming then went home again. AND THEN... I took a quick shower, put on one of my favorite dresses and went back into Portland for a reincarnation seminar. I was sketchy about it at first, but I really did love it. I went back the next morning and had a reading done, and whether it is totally real or not, it was fun either way. Then I just had a lazy football Sunday, watched the season finale of True Blood, soaked the new piercings then fell asleep. All in all, great weekend!
Well, I had a great three day weekend. I didn't do much but catch up on sleep and do some outdoorsy stuff. Which is a nice change of events sometimes.
I'm pretty excited that I've made a few friends on here and I can't wait to make some more. It seems like people on this site are very down to earth and easy to chat with. And now it's back to work and playing the boss!
While setting up my SG profile not too long ago, I was stumped with the question of "your most humbling moment." I could think of a few moments that were hard or sad or confusing, but none that actually made me feel humbled. Well, two nights ago I went to visit a long time friend's mother in the hospital. After fighting the battle of breast cancer nearly eight years ago and kicking it's ass, I was informed with some bad news. Two weeks prior a spot was found on Tammy's lung, 9 days ago a biopsy was done and lung cancer was confirmed, 5 days ago she was in surgery having part of her right lung removed. When I walked into that recovery room two nights ago the question of "you most humbling moment" jumped into my brain so fast, I could almost see the sentence forming in front of my eyes. To see such a strong, independent, cancer ass kicking woman with tubes in her nose and in her chest was definitely a wake up call. You may have control over many things in your life, but cancer is not always one of them. You might be saying, "well if she wouldn't have smoked, she wouldn't have gotten cancer". However, this is not the type of lung cancer you get from smoking, this is the type of cancer any non-smoking, non-drinking, non-druging person can get. So I guess the moral is, you never know what's in store for you or those you love. So live it up, have fun. Do what makes you happy and always always always tell the people you love how much you love them. You just never know.
