"I was just about to leave a message to see how you were doing, but instead I was greeted by the news that you've been gone nearly a year.

In the end, I think there one thing dead head's can agree on is the way they want to be memorialized:

"Goin home, goin home
by the waterside I will rest my bones
Listen to the river sing sweet songs
to rock my soul""

"You were a good man, and a great friend. I'm going to miss talking about music with you. It seems kind of unfair when the world loses someone special like you, because it feels like someone just turned off a light, and it's just a little less warm of a place to be in. I remember you were always willing to dedicate songs or shows to people on here. People who you may never have even met, but because you were the type of person that you were, you actually cared enough to do it. I remember you dedicated the song "Families" from Living With War to me one time at a show. I remember when they started playing that album over the internet, and we were both so damn excited. Anyways, I also know that you wrote music too. I've been messing around with writing music too, although I haven't written a complete song yet. I was thinking that I could dedicate my first song to you, since you were pretty much my one and only true music buddy. And because you were such a giving type of guy. What the hell. We'll see. Take it easy up there. We're thinking about you down here. -BernardShakey/CKDexterHaven/Alex"

"You brought light and music and humor to me and many others through your beautiful and generous heart. A world which would have you take leave in such a way - I think doesn't deserve one such as you."

"An all-around badass, SocietysPliers is SG's offical guitar god and musical know-it-all. Though he won't admit it. He's also very funny, and smarter than most."
