This Space For Rent

Well, I've decided to not renew my subscription at the end of the month. I may not leave forever, but it'll be for a while I suspect. I'm just kinda bored with it lately and don't have the time to spend on it that i used to before the new job. So I'm taking a break. If any of you want to keep in touch and don't have any info them PM me and I'll hook ya up. I think the few people who do already have some way. I'll be around for the next week and a half still.

Well, the subject of sending me to Libya was brought up at team meeting Thursday morning. So, come February I could be on my way to Tripoli for a week or so, scrounging around an enormawarehouse for data apparently. I really don't want to go. I mean on one hand it's not everybody who can say they've had the opportunity to go to a country like Libya, and it is travel on company coin. But, on the other hand it is Libya, not exacly a country known as an ideal travel destination even when it was legal for Americans to go there freely. I guess I should be practicing my British accent. I think they like them a lot more than Americans there. Either way, it's not a sure thing by far. It would be an interesting and memorable experience I'm sure.

I'm a coward when it comes to clothes. I almost never venture out of my comfort zone of jeans and t-shirts. I never wear sweaters and have never worn horizontal stripes (a fatty no-no), but yesterday I bought a striped sweater. I actually like it and think it looks good on me. I need to learn to be more adventurous in the future. I think what I need is someone to with a sense of style to go shopping with me, like a girlfriend type person maybe.

I want to see A Night at the Museum. It looks pretty good.

Little Miss Sunshine comes out on DVD on the 19th. I can't wait. Love it.

I saw For Your Consideration this weekend and it was hilarious of course. I wouldn't say it was as good as Best In Show or A Mighty Wind, but definitely a must see if you're a fan of Christopher Guest and gang's movies.

My SG subscription is up at the end of the month. I'm thinking about not renewing for now. I'm starting my new job tomorrow and I feel like I should remove the distraction of SG. Myspace is bad enough. I won't be able to access the site at work I'm sure, but just having it on my mind is probably something I could do without for a while. Also, things have gotten kinda boring around here lately. The Houston group has seemd a little tense and some of the people have seemed just a little unkind lately. Silliness just hasn't been all that silly, and the SG sets are still good, but I mean I've seen hundreds and hundreds of them, it won't kill me to miss them for a while. I'm not sure if I'm leaving yet, but if I do I'll be sure to let those of you who I think might care and want to stay in touch know and let you know how to contact me if you don't already have that info.


Ok, I'm renewing for just one month this time. So I'll be for the rest of the year at least.

I want to start playing cello again. I was an orchestra dork in my younger days but gave it up for rock and roll. Ok, it wasn't quite so glamorous. I quit in junior high because I didn't like my teacher and I had a guitar lying around the house and decided why not learn how to play it. It's only been like 18 years since i last played and I've been playing guitar and bass and piano since then . I think I could pick it up again. Now honestly, the cello is an even bigger chick magnet than the guitar isn't it?
