The lack of reading comprehension and inability to familiarize yourself with a writer's persona and character is so disappointing here on SG.
The responses to my 15 Minutes of Fame commentary are so stupid. Do you know there is a war on? Yeah, I bet I know more about it than you! Do you write your representatives weekly, listen to 4 hours of news a day, read the paper daily, protest, organize and more? I do! And I hold down 2 jobs and clean my own apartment and do my own grocery shopping AND go to the gym! WOW! I must be wonder woman....or I might not be on the internet all fucking day critizing other people.
Also, this calling me a hipster must stop. I might be a little judgmental and snobbish about my entertainment but that just makes me a jerk - not a hipster. I haven't seen live music in over 7 years. I don't know hip places to hang out and I fall asleep on the couch with my boyfriend at 10pm. HOW HIP! Or maybe being a 33 year old adult uninterested in looking cool or music or scene's is the new hip?
Also if you don't like Culture/Comments or Celeb DO NOT CLICK ON TO THOSE! I don't care how the site is designed. Figure it out once you have landed in that section and then....turn away! I write enough shit here that I mix it up with important and non-important stuff - so stop harping on what you don't like. It's an embarassing cultural phenom of the web - criticism of someone not serving YOUR EXACT NEEDS. Go get a baby bottle and suck it.

And I can't figure out why people choose to read the celeb stuff and then say "I hate this celeb stuff." What a bunch of retarded ass-monkeys. Actually, I cannot figure out why so many people are such rude and insulting assholes on the boards. If they were as intelligent as they seem to think they are, shouldn't they be able to disagree with a bit more style and substance?
Argh.
And as for your misplaced apostrophe: I stealth-edited 5 public signs this week. That makes me a grammar hero! When I start stealth-editing billboards I will gain Superhero status.

Anyway, I thought the piece was pretty funny.
And as an aside, I actually met Reagan (I was escorting my mother to an event of sorts) and had a conversation with him. While I do not agree with his politics (he was no longer in office at that time), I have to say that he was very nice, intersting to talk to and funny--and he had very kind eyes.
