I just bought my ticket to Bon Jovi's show on september! This year is so full of shows here in Brazil... I bought tickets to many of them – Sabbath, Slayer, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Sebastian Bach and now Bon Jovi – so I have no money left.

I had to buy the cheapest to Bon Jovi's... it's going to be in a stadium, and my place is the farthest spot. But the important thing is that I'm going to be there, to support one of my favourite artists and enjoy a great time!

I was applying patches of heavy metal bands to my jacket today, using an iron, and they were looking good! But as soon as they cooled down, a couple of patches started to loose... I was pissed off, because I worked hard from 7 to 11 pm! So I super glued them! HAHAHA

When it's ready, I'll post a couple of pictures here biggrin

Yesterday I bought my ticket to see Black Sabbath and Megadeth on october! This is going to be awesome! I've seen Megadeth live once, but Sabbath, specially being the original band members, will be special...
And now they annouced Monsters of Rock for october too, but I believe I may not have the money if they start to sell tickets soon.

Oh boy, I'm so screwed! Fans of music know the festival Rock in Rio... well, I live in São Paulo, about 430 km from Rio de Janeiro and could totally go to the festival to see some of my favourite bands. Unfortunately, though, the tickets were sold out on the first day.

The good thing is that some of those bands are also coming to São Paulo a day or two after their concert on Rock in Rio, such as Iron Maiden, Slayer, Sebastian Bach and Bon Jovi. Yeah, that's totally the GOOD thing.
The BAD thing though, is the fact that I have to pay a lot more money to see them, because they'll play in different days and different venues... I already got my ticket to Bach's show for US$55 and Iron Maiden/Slayer's for US$165; now I'm have to buy Bon Jovi's and the news are that Black Sabbath is also coming, Aerosmith and Def Leppard. Dude, I don't have all that money!

I know I shouldn't complain about all those bands coming to Brazil as I do love them, but maybe the producers of the shows should consider charging a more friendly price for the tickets. It is really tough to be a rock fan in Brazil this year hahahaha good luck for me to pay for all those concerts! skull

Last month I pre-ordered the new Suicide GIrls book "Hard Girls, Soft Light" at Amazon.com, and it arrived yesterday. I was so excited, but ended up being very disappointed... not with the book itself, but with Amazon.com.

First of all, the book is beautiful! The photos are excelent and so elegant; the book is top notch, of high quality paper and print, the layout is great, the colors are amazing and the pictures stunning. For that, I am truly and completely satisfied.

But, somehow, Amazon.com managed to ship it to me in the worst kind of way... ever. I am aware that what I have to say is untypical and that Amazon usually handles the goods with care, but the shipping box came trashed, the book cover wrinkled and the spine torn, and the whole book is bent. frown

The shipping box is in very poor conditions, obviously it wouldn't protect the book...

It is awful when you are disappointed with something you were so excited about. I got in contact with Amazon.com and they offered me a refund of around US$6, which I took, since I don't plan to return the book and have to deal with shipping and the mail again. But when the book oficially comes to Brazil, perhaps I'll buy a new one. Just take a look on my book's condition, it isn't good at all:

It's been months since my last blog post and, although I kindda promise myself to post regularly, I somehow end up ignoring the promise... anyway, a lot happened in the past three months and there are a few things I want to share... but not today, today I gotta tell you about an amazing experience! eeek

I just got back from what may be one of the best rock concerts I've ever been in my entire life! Crashdïet played here in São Paulo, Brazil, a few hours ago, and I was there to appreciate it. I left my home under heavy rain, the block where the venue is was waterlogged, but I managed to get there in one piece.
zoom image
I had a couple of beers and headed to the front... I almost made it to the safety railingm there were only 2 persons in front of me, and I was about 3 or 4 meters from the band! The show was amazing, loud and Crashdïet was on fire!

During the song Generation Wild, Simon stage dove in the middle of the crowd, right in front of me! We were face to face, and I grabbed his neck and sung with him on the mic! In the end of the show, Eric told us that he loves Brazil and even said a few words in Portuguese. After the show, the security guys were pushing the crowd away from the venue, and I looked back and Peter was there, behind the guards... I managed to get close to him, and thanked him for the show and we shook hands! blush

On my way back home, there was more rain, I got home all soggy, very cold and starving... I already took a hot shower, had a cup of hot chocolate milk and now I'm going to bed, because I am exausted and, you know, everybody needs a break!

On November 17th I went to the most amazing and entertaining concert ever. It was the first (lets hope not the last) time I saw a KISS concert, and man, what a show! I've been to a Green Day concert and that is big, but I think a KISS concert is bigger!

zoom image
There were fireworks, flames, explosions, band members "flying" around, blood, smoke, even a bazooka... the best part was when Paul Stanley flew over the crowd and landed 16 feet away from my girlfriend and I. Also, we painted our faces, and some guy from the staff asked us to take one picture, and he gave my gf and I each a guitar pick of the tour, with the signature of Eric Singer on one side, awesome! love

Also, I bought a photo autographed by Tommy Thayer... as I'm a collector, this is so going on my wall. That was the best concert ever, and I really hope to see those guys again some time! biggrin

Oh my God I had a bad time at my job the past three months, because I was working with the elections, but now it's all finally over... phew ooo aaa
So I spent past week working on a few products (because we also do product at the studio)... it isn't anything amazing, but we develop cheap, creative and fun stuff to decorate the home and office... I don't know if I am allowed to post it here, but anyway, I liked how some of them turned out, so I want to show you anyway:

This one is obviously inspired by the Instagram logo, we created a few stuff inspired by it, and this one is my favourite. I also created a pencil holder that looks like a guitar amp, which is, in my opinion, much cooler, but I don't have a photo, so...

Changing the subject, I have made some nice purchases recently. I am so passionate about rock and roll that I can't help but to collect memorabilia. I purchased a few guitar picks from bands that I love, but one interesting piece that I bought is this 1989 Skid Row EP - it is a 7" shape picture disc and I LOVE IT:

I will even post a video of it playing only because I think this is pretty cool... so sorry guys if you don't like Skid Row. surreal
