Hrm. The guy from that band finally called me today. Looks like an audition on this coming Thursday.

I'm not sure how I feel about a all-dude band, as I prefer a female fronted band, which gives the band a lot more material to work with. Still, I'm pretty jazzed about getting out and playing again.

Well. I got a response to my bass player ad on craigslist.

No warning signs so far. The set list looks reasonable and the rehearsals are fairly close to home.

I supposed to get a call from someone tonight about setting up an audition.

We'll see.

I quit my band.

The boy-girl drama between two of the members was more stress than anyone needs
for something that's supposed to be fun.

So now I get to do the whole dance again. Look for bands on craigslist, reject most of them right away due to the kind of music they're doing or the dreaded "no old farts" clause. What makes it worse now is that gas prices being what they are and going where they're going means I need to be even more selective about which auditions I want to go on.

Sigh.
