So my friend and I went to go see a live recording of Rifftrax: Birdemic last night. Now, if you haven't heard of Rifftrax, it's the same guys who used to do MST3K (Mystery Science Theater 3000...which is a guy who is banished to a space station to watch really bad movies with some crazy robots and they sit there and make fun of the movies and it's super funny and hilarious but a little cheesy at the same time...I think I might be rambling...so back to what I was originally saying), but they make fun of more modern movies. Now, if you haven't heard of Birdemic, that I can understand. It's an AMAZINGLY bad movie...but it's so bad that it's funny.

But I would highly recommend you watch it if you want a good laugh. It has everything a great bad movie needs: awful acting, terrible sound, bad camera work, poor editing, and horrendous special effects. Here are just a few highlights of the actions scenes.

The trip to Cedar Point was fucking awesome. We started off by going to a state park by where we live before we hit the road. The autumn foliage was beautiful, and it's one of the things I love about the fall.




The drive was long, but it was totally worth it. The hotel and park were all done out in Halloween stuff. Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I was totally stoked. Friday night it was raining, and it was a little cold, but it was ok because it allowed us to do all of the haunted houses while the park didn't have a lot of people. Saturday was way better though, and we had a ton of fun. It was a vacation we both needed.







And then this happened...unfortunately I forgot my SD card.


p.s. Alyeska and Reekie came to visit me and WilLE this weekend. It was amazingly fun and sexy. I definitely want them to come again.

This weekend is going to be fucking amazing for many reasons...
1) It's fall and all the leaves are changing
2) I'm going on a little vacation with my girl WilLE
3) This trip is going to be to the roller coaster capital of the world, Cedar Point
4) It is the start of their Halloween extravaganza

So all in all it should be pretty sweet. I'm going to take some pictures of just how awesome it's going to be.

So I'm not very good at this whole blog thing. And it's not like anyone really is going to read this, but I guess I want to take a more active role on the site rather than being a quite observer. My girlfriend seems to be doing well on here and making some friends. We even have some ladies coming up to visit us next weekend for an SG Iowa get-together. We've finally settled down I think, and even though she's stressed, I think she's doing well at the U of Iowa. I'll hopefully be posting some more...I know I have a few pictures most would enjoy. Like this one...

So we FINALLY got some snow the other night, so it actually looks like winter out there.


In other news, I'm working on my resume to apply to this DNA sequencing company in Iowa City. I would love to get it. It would mean a steady job, with regular hours, good pay, and great benefits. I'm not sure how long WilCain will be in school, so it would be super nice to get. But I'm a little nervous, since I don't have a lot of experience filling out resumes or interviewing for non-educational type jobs. But even if I don't get it, I still have a back up plan. And I always have my cute cat...

Tonight was board game night! I love board game night. It was kinda board game weekend actually. I got to play Agricola and Dominion last night with my girl, WillowCain, and my friend Brad. And then Settlers of Catan and Pandemic tonight with WillowCain, her cousin and her boyfriend. I ended up winning every game. It seems that Settlers is a good way to really piss someone off, but awesome sex was still to be had when we got home. Speaking of Settlers, I totally want this. Look at the beauty of this version.

First blog of my new profile! My old profile was BShine, but this one was a gift from my girlfriend. She didn't know how to reactivate my old account, so she got me a new one for our anti-valentine's day present. Both of us think the holiday is shit, so she got me thins instead of going out to dinner or some other stupid thing. I'm totally happy with her...she's so amazing. I've never been happier or more comfortable with anyone, ever, in my entire life.
