2010 is the year of revelations.

i have realized more about myself, my thought processes, my attitude, talents, weaknesses, and purpose this year than any time in my life before now.

howdy my hunny bunnies! I figured id give a quick update since someone asked.

for starters, i no longer work for starship enterprises... love and i both got let go because numbers in the entire company were down and they wanted to let their big paychecks go and replace them with newer (see: cheaper) help.

but have no fear! i still sell porn and pipes for sure. two days after getting let go, i started working at the love shack off peachtree industrial, working my ass off to get back to the position/salary i used to have.

love and i moved. we were scheduled to move april 1st into the midtown area. but after we BOTH got let go, we freaked out, cancelled the move, called our complex and just asked for a transfer into a larger 2 bedroom unit. and we did.

so everything got shakey for a few days, but all is well again. sorry i havent been updating. i have reluctantly become a myspace addict.

YES I KNOW i always said myspace was stupid and EVERYONE was on there, but now that i dont get to see my starship people everyday, i started using it to keep in touch with them. then i found people from high school, other past co-workers, current co-workers, family, etc.

and im a junkie.

pardon the excitement. it never happens here.

w00t! the woman that toured us around last week called last night to say that she STILL doesnt have a 2 bed/2 bath with hardwoods available but a LARGE 1bed/1 bath witha sunroom(1010 sq. ft.) did just open up.

We can move in mid-march and be first priority if a 2 x 2 w/ hardwoods opens up, we can transfer apartments.

YAY!

just gotta check out the other place this wednesday and make a decision.

OH! i and i'm getting a laptop for about.... $40. my dad has 3 laptops AND a PC. i asked him if i could have my brother's old one and he said yeah he'd sell it to me. THEN he called a few days later to say that if i take him and my mom out to eat, i can have it!! yay!!!!

now that i can surf the net on the couch right next to love (instead of in the other room) i can be an internet whore again!

ok so given the way i was treated a couple weeks ago during our apartment search, i sent an email to the corp. office of the community that was especially bitchy to us.

the result? corp. office called us to invite us down to see their "newly available" units. aaah, what the hell. normally i would boycott that place forever for treating me like that, but love convinced me to go. it WAS a place we liked, and it was in our price range, and we DO need a place to live soon.

so we went.

the property manager showed us around this time. she was totally nice to us. she even COMPLIMENTED our jewelry and giggled when she found out we run sex shops for a living. she wasnt offended or put off by us at all.

basically she totally changed my opinion of that community. we were excited about it. its definately in the running to be the place we live soon. there is one other place we want to check out first though before we start deciding.

im excited about moving now, but im also really anxious. im one of those people who will not rest and relax until we know where we're going and a lease is signed. i'm ready for the whole process to be over with, but i also want to be thorough so we dont end up hating the place and have to do this all again in 2 years.
