I have an announcement to make, after working at my lame as job for more than 2 months, I finally got a raise! I'm finally getting paid minimum wage!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, they hired me on at 7.50 (minimum wage at the time I was hired was 7.65) and I didn't say anything cuz I was happy that I had a job. But the new year has come and minimum wage went up to 7.80. I got my first check of the year was still at 7.50, so I finally got up the metaphorical balls to say something. And next check will be at 7.80. My boss said she didn't give me minimum wage at for the first 3 weeks because the first three weeks was a trial period, so she gave me 7.50 (still paid 7.50 after the first 3 weeks), but regardless! Whether it was a trial period or not, it is illegal for them to pay me less than minimum wage! Trial period should have been 7.65, not 7.50.
My bosses didn't even mention giving me back owed wages
should I call the labor board?
they don't even have the current employee rights poster up, the one they have up is from 2011

So today is James Birthday, say happy birthday to him! He's 33! Though his picks look like he's 25 or 26, the sexy bastard 
Any ways, so managed to get in 10 miles on my bike today before work, knowing there would be bday festivities for James after I got off work, I was hoping to do another 5 miles, but had to give the baby a bath after I got hope, then steak dinner for James and cake and then I took him to our favorite bar for a couple of drinks (told my fam we were going out) people bought us shots for his bday and we got home at around 11. But the door was locked when we got home....And I don't have a key since I haven't lived there in like 3 years. So I know my 20 year old sister is home, she wakes up at 3pm and goes to bed at 8am, spends her time on the computer, so don't want to ring the door bell to wake my mom or my baby (my dads at work by 10:30pm) So I do what I did in high school, throw rocks at my sisters window. I do it for 5 minutes, and finally she comes to the door....she says in a whispered voice at first "The next time you come to the house and are locked out.............BRING A GOD DAMN FUCKING KEY!" she screams the last part in my face! First of all, I haven't lived in that house in like 3 years
second, I told everyone I would be out with James for his bday, 3rd, what the hell are you doing on your comp, are you webcamming? If so thats fine, but why do gotta be a bitch? And I know she's not...trust me, our walls are paper thin....I do know what she's working on, she does art via a pad to the computer, but seriously! It takes you literally less than a minute, unless you are dragging ass, to open the door. Sorry I haven't lived at home for three years and don't have a key.
