Thanks Nessy for reminding me that I haven't updated this blog thing ever. My friend Rach had her baby, a beautiful girl, Maya, was born June 8th. She's adorable

Well, I'm not sure who would read this but I'll write anyway. I have a lot of new stuff that has happened recently. Lets see, I was hit by a drunk driver who never even slowed down. My car was totaled. I bought a gun, a glock. I love it. I continued to do Muay Thai, I had my first fight, it was a blast. I started jiu jit su also. Very fun. I made a new friend at school. and my two best things that have happened recently are 1.My girlfriend now lives in CT, 2.my friend is pregnant. Its got its ups and downs but currently live is good. Thats it for now.

Summer is just about here. 19 week days as I measure it. I'm not sure if thats the actual start of summer, but I do know that school is over then(I teach at a middle school school in CT) Anyway, the countdown continues for now. I am excited that tomorrow we have a field trip to an amusement park and I am a chaperone. Its a nice way to end the week. Also, one of my students is going on the trip!! I know that doesn't seem like a big deal but this kid was in big trouble at the begining of the year. He was put into my alternate education class as a last resort to repeating a grade. All year I've worked with him trying to get him to deal with some anger management problems. He's had his ups and downs but he has not been expelled all year and is now off of probation. He is passing his classes and in higher classes than he was orginally placed in. He was nominated for most improved student this year and this is the first field trip he has been allowed on all this year and last year. The year has had its share of disappointments but it seems to be coming to a good end.
You may be wondering why I am writing this post (aside, from the fact that I am proud and need to share) Well, I thought it was cool that the "goth" kids from my middle school are excited to have me as their chaperone. The next generation of SG's and SB's! They are a great group of kids too and I'm sure some of you may remember what its like to be weariing all black and looking alternative in a school where the prodominent "look" is preppy or urban. Its such a fun age. And most kids are cool but so many of them are not accepting. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend !
