I'm old....
well considering the fact that my nose piercing is probably older than most of the people on this site anyway...
i'm just rocking it old school i guess?
and i'm spending my 40th locked up at my job doing a mandatory meeting regarding software on the computer at work and then doing my regular work shift after that...
ten hours at that fucking place!
Happy birthday indeed...
fuck...
at least i took monday off.
heading for bed.....

I just wanted to wish all my friends on here a "Happy New years!"
sorry i've been so slacking on here as of lately, but as some of you know, this year just kept piling on the real life bullshit for me.
and this month in particular was a little rough...
so lets hope 2008 is a bit better for all of us
so....
did you have a few favorite films from this year?

John Waters ......
how i love thee
in other news
Dorwayin got himself a beautiful espresso machine and is quickly becoming one of the best baristas ever!
so yeah... he can cook and makes a mean latte also....
i'm pretty fucking lucky
i've been off the computer lately and have been watching a lot of movies
i have a tendency to get antisocial when the cold weather starts kicking in...
but i hope you are all doing well, and that everyone has a great holiday season.
as for me...
bah humbug

there are far worse things in life than being chained to Pam Grier...
Has anyone seen Argento's "Pelts" yet?
i need to know if i can stomach the gore...
i recently rewatched "Garden State" again...
i hate to be so predictable, but i really enjoy that film.
and i love the sounds and smells of autumn,
I'm kind of freaky like that..

well...
i was going to try to read and comment back on some friends journals tonight, but my computer
is fucking mad slow!
the last comment i left took about three minutes to load
so i guess im taking a little hiatus away from here until my computer magically fixes itself...
maybe it just needs a break?
here is a guilty pleasure of mine from the early 80's...
because teenage hookers avenging their dead friends is pretty fucking cool!
especially when they still attend highschool and they are on the honor roll and shit.
i got in touch recently with an old friend from highschool who i havent spoken to or seen in about eight years..
and it looks like an oldschool brockton high punk reunion is in the works!
this could be a lot of fun
hopefully my computer will be back and running a bit faster soon...
in the meantime, you guys take care

wow....
i was long overdue for an update huh?
hhmmm... my week has been shitty so far, only because ive had to work.
but the past weekend was a blast!
Friday night was a surprise birthday party for my friend Mike who ive known since highschool..
sadly enough, i couldnt make it over there for the actual surprise part of it due to my job,
but he was happy enough to see me when i finally made it over there.
It was 80's themed, so you can imagine how much fun it was!
About seventy percent of Mike's friends are musicians...
which meant a total jam session all night long down in his basement (with Mike and then Dorwayin on drums)
all 80's songs of course
a dedication of "Under the ivy" by Kate Bush to me at one point.
Very nice!
i was semi buzzed later in the evening and requested many songs...
including this one...
I always thought Joe Jackson was a creepy looking dude, but his voice always made me smile..
so i requested this one.....
and the singer did a bang up job!
on sunday the wonderful Testykitten came down to visit D and I...
D roasted some coffee beans for her, and i kidnapped her and took her over to my moms to walk the family dog and give her some veggies from my uncles garden,
and then it was a field trip over to Alyks to watch the video music awards...
she made us some wonderful pasta!
we drank champagne and made fun of people.
good times
its always nice to see her and Mr. Alyk.
i also got to see my oldest friend in the world on friday night at Mike's...
her name is Laura, and ive known her since i was four years old.
She is the epitome of amazing and i'm very fortunate to still have her in my life.
also over the weekend i got to rewatch this film, which ive seen before more than once,
but i think its quite a brilliant little film.
Sarah Polley is incredible in it...
i have to have D hook up the printer so i can finally read a novella written by the beautiful incorrigible
i'm hoping to have it all printed up by tomorrow so i can indulge in some great reading material...
i hadnt realized that our printer was not hooked up yet
and sorry if my spelling sucks tonight,
ive already had one glass of vodka
talk to you guys soon
xxoo

I'll play catch up soon enough...
i have been guilty of not being on here the last few days.
i'm doing okay,
and i hope you are all doing fine as well...
but i have been out of the house as of lately and trying to do things off the internet,
still thinking of leaving soon, but still kind of struggling with the idea of it.
However, i'm behind with everyones journal, and feeling kind of guilty...
but i got some family issues i'm dealing with, as well as real life social events that cannot be ignored.
My apologies in advance...
i will make an effort soon to read up on everyones "Blog" (damn, i hate that word)
but probably not tonight.
I got the movie "Silkwood" coming to me from greencine soon..
and yes, ive already seen it more than once,
but its been years that i have actually seen it and i think its an outstanding film.
It stars Meryl Streep, Kurt Russell and Cher..
its a sad film based on true events, but it really packs quite a punch.
I watched "The screwfly solution" the other night ...
a little disappointed.
good story, not so great use of the story if you know what i mean,
they could have done a lot more with the plot.
The ending seemed a little premature.
anyway,
i got some beautiful greenbeans from my brothers garden yesterday...
gonna have D cook them up tomorrow.
Tomatoes from my landlords garden...
so we are going to make some salsa soon also.
Exciting huh?
i may be an omnivore, but i do like my veggies.
speaking of being an omnivore,
i'm very fond of cannibal comedies.
it all started many years ago when i first saw "Eating Raoul"
funny fucking film with Mary Woronov and Paul bartel.
but this one is also a fun little flick...
okay,
i'm off to floss my teeth and watch cable,
get back to you guys soon.
