Sorry i missed your birthday (as you may know I've been dealing with the near-Death of my older stepdaughter and subsequent debt and loss of employment and trying to find ways to feed my 82 year old Mom.
Things are getting better slowly (I think), and I may in fact be able to make MYSELF a good meal tomorrow.
This greatly excites me, as I love to cook AND love to eat, and since I got back from Ohio all I've been able to do is feel Mom eggs. But I should be able to actually go shopping tomorrow!!!!! Yay!!!!!!
The only positive facets of this are:
t and foremost, that the shunt in the kid's (well she's 25, but still . . .) head that got infected and had to be surgically removed and replaced and landed her in a coma, was not rejected by her body, the infection is cleared and there is no evident neurological damage from either the brain surgery or the coma. She's had multiple surgeries on her brain in the past - this is the first time it resulted in a coma). So, positive note 1 = apparent full recovery.
Second, and of somewhat less import, but making me smile nonetheless, is that all this travel, worry and poverty has all allowed me to lose 18 1/2 pounds so far since July 7th. I'm not worried about the health issues. I have always tended toward hypokalemia (low potassium) and hypoglycemia, (low blood sugar), and so have managed to handle that end of things, tomorrow I should be in a position to do some shopping and have a full meal. Actually, I plan on having SEVERAL full meals. Maybe all at the same time.
Anyway, sorry to run on about me - my intention was to inquire about Split Ends, and to apologize for missing some daze/days of voting for you. I know one of my exes (Julie) was voting for you as well, but on my part, I missed at least 3 or 4 days since I first heard of your entry. So, I see that the voting is apparently over.
What does this mean for you? Do you know anything yet? If you didn't get the part, do you have a shot at a later date? Is there anything I/we can do to keep you in the running for Future episodes?
Anyway, gotta go sleep so I am refreshed for shopping tomorrow morning.
