My cellphone, a RAZR, takes strange pictures. They tend to have a little curve to them, the colors tend to be distorted, and occasionally there are blurry spots. Grainy in low light. Occasionally desaturated, occasionally oversaturated.

The other day I realized why I wind up liking those pictures so much: my phone takes pictures that remind me of impressionist paintings. I love it.

You know what's awesome? Shopping at a usually-super-crowded grocery store in a heavily Orthodox Jewish neighborhood on Passover.

I realized today that one of my absolute favorite oldskool sites was back in business: Attrition.org. Their "Going Postal" section always cracked me up (security geeks with my sense of humor? SCORE!), and the defacement archive... well, that was useful in other ways. Also, I had this weird crush on Jericho (site founder) for a lot of different reasons.

Things I did today that amused me: Figured out how to transpose VNV Nation's Beloved and Babyland's Gehry to... acoustic guitar. Hee. They sound only vaguely like the originals but are definitely recognizable stand quite well on their own.

Made this really good almost-hot-but-sweet Caribbean dish for dinner. Bean just took a bite and said "MMMMMMFFFMMMMM*chewchewchew*THAT'S SO GOOD*chewchewchew*" He isn't shy about telling me when my current culinary creation sucks, so I'm not the only one who likes it.

We were outside today and heard a weird crunching noise from inside, looked in, and saw Leo Beastdog settling his butt down onto the beanbag chair. He sat there happily just like you or I would sit on a beanbag. Bean said "HE THINKS HE'S PEOPLE!!" There are pictures. Will post later.
