Let's see, since January 22nd . . .

• My buddy and I, drove to Texas and back in about 25 hours.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

El Paso, to drop off a big rig transmission. When we get there the shop says they can't put it in till they finish this other guy's truck, which they were now working on for the 3rd time cause it broke down again upon entering the freeway the first 2 times they fixed it. Then they get his truck done at 11am (we arrived at 9 am). They don't start working on it, we ask why. Of course! Cause they didn't actually have their own hoist. A big rig repair shop have its own hoist? You're crazy. SO they borrow one from the Church across the street . . . 4 hours later. But they still couldn't work on it. Missing gaskets and studs. So after 45 minutes of convincing them to tell us where their parts distributor is, we drive 70 miles to pick up the stuff, which wouldn't've been there till the next day. So, after getting back it actually did end up getting done by 10 the next morning which cut it close but was ok.
It was kinda fun, like an adventure. Took a few pictures.

• Went to see Ashes & Snow AMAZING! Everyone who can see it, should see it.

Darn, those are about the only truly eventfull things that've happend. Or maybe its me.

Well, since everyone likes journals with pics better . . .

I've at least been shooting some. Actually, come to think of it, I shot my Teacher's daughter with another guy over spring break. Turned out pretty good. Should post one or two.

I should really try to put some serious effort into updating more often.

Ok, this entry deserves some time to be put into it, but well, I'll do my best . . .

Got back from visiting Richard at Berkeley yesterday, we were there the 1-4. SO MUCH FUN!!

summarized events:

1st: Arrive, drop shit off, head over to the Bear's Lair, one of the coolest little on campus bars around. I really like Pyramid Apricot. then . . . my timeline begins getting fucked up, much like myself. We go to <scene missing>(bar) and drink, so much fun. Then we head over to Blake's, another fun little bar. LOTS of dancing boozing, all that good shit. LOTS OF DANCING . . . and hotties. biggrin Lots of smoking afterwards.

2nd: Wake and bake. Timeline is immediately fucked up. Went to an arcade baked, so much fun. skip to the end of the day, ate some killer Chinese [food] and proceeded to smoke more, hottest chick of the night before came by later, I was happy. There was more, but I need to conferr as to what happend which day.

3rd: Start the day off RIGHT! Bacardi O and Fuze Strawberry Guava, cause I'm a health nut like that. Then Dim Sum for real breakfast. OH SHIT!! Dim Sum is fucking good, I love it. Then lots of smoking. Then hot pot for Dinner, and lots more smoking. There's more but, shit, smoking and drinking in the mornign kills my memory dead.

4th & final: frown frown We get up early to go rafting on The American River. We get there a little behind schedule, but no worse for wear. No breakfast today, which really sucked, so we got a bunch of beef jerky. Pounded one before getting the water, pounded one after getting the raft in the water, pounded another to get me feeling something whiel we were still subject to the stiupid families. Poubded one more after escaping the family rafts. Then Teal(sp?) whips it out, the green monster, everyone craked these huge fucking smiles, it was hilarious. But we were down one working lighter, so, what do we do?
"HEY! DO YOU HAVE A LIGHTER?"
"YEAH!" *paddles over to us.

Have nice three raft session, Norcal people are nice, despite saying their freeway names all-wrong. Break with them, pound some mroe, I don't remember how many, 3, 4, maybe? A little later, time for another session. No lighter still, no rafts. What now!?!? I spy some kayakers, kayakers on a calm river = big time stoners. So we call 'em over, and a have a nice little 2 raft, 3 kayak session. After that we're sufficiently drunk to start pushing in the river, Dan begins, Richard goes down. Then its over, I end up crushing our stereotypical styrofoam cooler (no biggie) before going down. I was almost able to save the rest of my jerky, but almost isn't good enough for dried-salted beef and water. Lots of floating, falling, drinking, loud talking.
Don't listen to people, being shit faced on the water is one of the funnest things you'll probably ever do, with the right people.
We then miss our flight at 7:30. Not an issue though, they bumped us later pro bono, and I got 3 in flight snacks out of it.

I'm sure I'll be updating about this for a time to come, so as more info materialzes in my brain I'll relate it.

Also just dropped off the film from the trip, so some pics should be coming up soon-sh, check my pics for a folder proabbly saying, Berkeley or SF, or something like that.

By all, hope others had good days.

Ok, this is just a quick one.

Thank you Shalome for these.

What's your Humor type?

the Provacateur

(57% dark, 34% spontaneous, 42% vulgar)
your humor style:
VULGAR | COMPLEX | DARK

You'll crack on anything, and you're often witty, even caustic, about it.

Therefore, your sense of humor is polarizing. You're transgressive, and you've got a seriously sharp 'edge'--maybe too much for some folks. If they get you, people think you're one of the funniest (and smartest) people in the world. If they don't, they think you're an ass. Whatever, right? While some might question your judgement, your comic intellect is unquestionably respected.

PEOPLE LIKE YOU: Chris Rock - Lenny Bruce - George Carlin

My test tracked 3 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 67% on dark

You scored higher than 15% on spontaneous

You scored higher than 75% on vulgar

Woudl you have been a Nazi?

Achtung! You are 30% brainwashworthy, 22% antitolerant, and 9% blindly patriotic
Congratulations! You are not susceptible to brainwashing, your values and cares extend beyond the borders of your own country, and your Blind Patriotism ("patriotism" for short) does not reach unhealthy levels. In Germany in the 30s, you would've left the country.

One bad scenario -- as I hypothetically project you back in time -- is that you just wouldn't have cared one way or the other about Nazism. Maybe politics don't interest you enough. But the fact that you took this test means they probably do. I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt.

Did you know that many of the smartest Germans departed prior to the beginning of World War II, because they knew some evil shit was brewing? Brain Drain. Many of them were scientists. It is very possible you could be one of them, depending on your age.

Conclusion: Born and raised in Germany in the early 1930's, you would not have been a Nazi.

My test tracked 3 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 31% on brainwashworthy

You scored higher than 25% on antitolerant

You scored higher than 4% on patriotic

Definative proof, I'm not a Nazi. biggrin
Huzzah!

Didn't take the time to color correct teh photos, the lighter yellow is slightly more accurate.

Not so much to update . . .

That is a lie, I'm feeling lazy, but I'll do my best. Here goes . . .

Been marginally producive lately.
Did quite a bit of cleaning yesterday. Actually it came down to movign a couple pieces of furniture around and folding an assload of laundry (which still needs some more folding).

Finalized (in my head) how I'll be building my bedframe for my acquired Full matress (a twin for a 6'2" 185 male is just not right).

It will consist of:
existing lumber, for overall frame
1 IKEA Sultan Lade Full size slatted bed base ($30)
1 set of IKEA Sultan Stainless Steel Legs ($15)

It'll be cool.

Did little bit of creating today. Played around with Ember some.

Well, I'm a laaaazzy, so lazy I almost ended this without adding in the only part with any appeal, or meat, to it.

So I was driving Nin* home the other night (8/3?) and she'd come across my Myspace profile. In it I list myself as Bi. I've not really been sure if I was just saying it, justa saying it for attention, or whatever. The more we talked about it, and trust me it wasn't alot, the mroe I actually started coming to the conclusion I may very likely in fact be Bi. I like it. I think its cool. Now I just want to find a hot guy who'll let me experiment on him . . .

I still love the girlies though biggrin

How am I not myself?[I/]

Well, a quick update . . .

This is a good time for me to update because:

1) I'm not depressed, which is a common time for me to update, far too common a time

2) I'm not high, I think i update high to often or atleast could use a few more journals made in a sober state of mind.

Watched I ♥ Huckabees yesterday, I'd almost forgotten how much I loved that movie.

How am I not myself?

Did some room cleaning, well, folded some clothes, but that's something compared to what I've done recently (nothing).

Still have more folding though . . .and another load in the dryer. What the hell, I know I don't have this mny clothes. I always wear the same stuff.

I also finally got around to putting some sheets on my bed again. I love the feeling of sleeping sans-sheets, but it cuts the matress' life in half so, que será, será. (sp?)

Have some other stuff planned to do today:

 • More cleaning

 • Eat breakfast (note time of entry of journal)

 • Go to IKEA . . . just for fun

 • other stuff

Crap, I just took a 30 minute journal-update hiatus there at the last one. Damn it.

I lost my train of thought now.

Well, hopefully I can stay on track for everything else. That'll probably recquire turing my computer off . . . that's pretty fucking hard.

I forget sometimes how life hurts . . .

I think I was going somewhere with that but it eludes me now, something about people hurting others (me) through lack of (for lack of a better term) consideration whatever

Well, that ^^ was brought on cause I need someone again, the exact same person, but different.
(fingers crossed they don't read this, (doubtfull anyway))

Stuffs happening -

Getting a new job, or another job at least. I haven't decided yet whether or not (if able) to quit 24hr Fitness. After today's check I'm leaning on do [quit (if able)]

Motorcycle search is still going strong. Learned CB550s and 500s are a dimea dozen, which gives me hopes. Was looking at a Suzuki Ugly; I don't know the model but I'd have to have immediate necessity for me to get taht thing. puke

Life still feels out of balance, I can only speculate as to what it is.

. . . but that's another journal . . .

I'll try to-try to add more soon . . .or later . . .

Wow, I REALLY wish I would've gotten to see this before I did the shoot.

Although, thinking on it, it still might not've helped . . . no I take that back, I would've done it differently. Crap.

Well, can't change that now.

In other news, I don't know what's going on.

I think I'm changing my focus, graphic design and photography. . . yeah.

Off to work.
