It wasn't too unlike that actually. At first it seemed condscending. But now they seem to say it lovingly.

I was in the exact same place, I loved to draw more than anything else and everyone said I had an amazing talent but school kicked all of the love for drawing out of me and I haven't drawn anything for 20 years! I still have no desire to draw and it was caused by a shitty art program at school 8-(

Don't let it happen to you! Do whatever it takes! Tell your teacher how you feel.

You obviously have great talent don't let someone else take it away!
