Friends:
One of my good friends Stephan is going through a very rough time. His father passed away Friday and I've been trying to help him ever since but I cannot even imagine the pain he is going though. Please let all your hopes and wishes go out to him.
I need to get out more. I love my group of friends but damn I need to meet new people in and around Columbus. Hit me up if any one of you ever want to hang out!
Job:
Looking for a job if anyone has any opens please let me know. I applied to Best Buy yesterday and I'm going to be applying more places today. I'm REALLY going to need this job in the coming months.
Relationship:
Well I've had a super hard past few months. The girl I was going after and I had a really rough New Year's and we didnt talk for a while but we are talking again. I just really have to make sure I dont get my hopes up too high. This girl is amazing but I don't need to get hurt again. Wish me luck!
School:
Because of the aforementioned problems with my friends and just the stress of the whole relationship thing, this hasn't been a good quarter to me and I'm going to fail one of my classes. My parents are going to kill me and the only way I can redeem myself is by getting a job. Soon. So again if anyone knows who is hiring right now, please let me know!

This is going to be the start of a beautiful relationship!
Time to write the first "real" blog of mine in ages. To start off, I had a great night out last night with Rourke, Phecda, and Frolic. Those girls are seriously awesome and I had a blast. We went hopping around the Short North during Gallery Hop even though it was freezing and maybe twenty degrees out at best. It reminded me that I really do need to go winter shopping and totally redo my wardrobe. I need more heavy winter stuff now that I'm going to be out walking in it more often. Anyways I hope I can hang out with those three beautiful, sexy, and fun beauties some time soon!
Yesterday I downloaded some DLC for Borderlands. Essentially Dr. Ned [Who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise at all! Why would you think that?] turns %98 of the population on this new island which belongs to the Jakob's Corporation into zombie and there is all sorts of spooky stuff. Just imagine if you will if the Nightmare Before Christmas was mashed up with Evil Dead, set in the Bayou, and played out in Borderland. That's sort of what this is like. Apparently their are 50 new missions in this area so I'll keep me occupied for at least today, but knowing me and my roommate we will have it finished by tonight. We're such geeks! And speaking of games with horror aspect in them I just found out about a new game called Metro 2033 that looks amazing. Apparently it's a an action-based survival horror FPS set in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world. If that means it's anything like a combination of Fallout 3 and Dead Space [without the formers epic length or the latter's insane difficulty] then you can count me in! BTW is anyone has the new Assassin's Creed, please come over and let me play it. I need to get my hands on that sometime soon!
In the miscellaneous category I may have a job for over the break. A friend of mine who works as a caricature artist at the Columbus Zoo put me in there for a job as one of those pesky photographers. It's not much but its only seasonal until school starts up which is good for me and bottom line, I'm unemployed and I need a job! I also rented two movies over the past week which are amazingly good. The first is a British drama/thriller name Franklyn which is so hard to describe that I won't even attempt it. Look up the trailers for it and prepare to be amazed by the movie. You'll be confused as to what exactly is going on through 80% of it but you'll slowly piece it together as it moves on. The other is an amazing Norwegian Horror-Comedy involving Nazi Zombies called Dead Snow. This film is easily a new favorite of mine. It's a slow start but by the end you'll be laughing your head off. At one point a character gets his arm bitten so he cuts it off with a chainsaw and than cauterizes the wound all my himself. The poor sap is standing there with 2 others just sorta in a awkward stillness over what just happens, when a zombie flips up out of the snow and bite the guy right in the nads! So what does the guy do? He says fuck it and punches the zombie off him and continues on with the movies. EPIC! I also went to see the Fantastic Mr. Fox and I was blown away, if you love Wes Anderson's previous stuff you will adore this movie. The style of it isn't for everyone but I loved it and I want to go see it again! Any takers?
This blog is going to be random as I'm going back and forth between writing it, reading a book for Poli Sci, and writing that paper. Someone please save me! I spent last night making a new wallpaper for my computer. I like it, its a college of some of my favorite pictures of japan during winter that I found of Deviantart so I don't calim any ownership over them but here is what I made
I'm happy with it and I think it turned out very nicely. It's been getting cold here in Ohio and with Christmas just around the corner I've been in a very wintery mood. Winter is my absolute favorite season. I love snow more than anything else in nature and I simply cannot wait for feet of it to fall this winter [AND IT WILL!!!]
Well Im going to try and get this paper done. After this is all smooth sailing with finals. My question to all of you is: Do you prefer coffee or tea? I'm a tea person all the way. Most coffee is way too bitter for me!
Well just to get it out of the way first there isn't much progress on the romance front. The ex is moving away in a little less than a month so that looking up but I'm not sure how long it will last after he scrams. So right now I've been fully demoted to friend status for the time being, which is where she needs me right now and where I shall stand for her. Just sucks. X.x
School hasn't been too stressful, we had wensday off for Veteran's Day which gave me a nice two-day weekend in the middle of the week. Needless to say, it doesn't feel like Friday again. I really want to express my upmost gratitude for all the men and women serving in all branches of the military and for all of those who have served before them. You have my dearest respect and I wish you all a safe tour of duty wherever you are. My father volunteered and served two tours in Vietnam from `65-`66 as an army medic with the 173rd Airborne Brigade (Sep) and he is one of the biggest heros in my life. Growing up going to his unit reunions has had a very profound affect on my patriotism and my unwavering support for all service men and women. Everyone out there, if you see or know someone who is or has been in the service please, please shake their hand or give them a hung and welcome them home. They have risked their lives for us and they deserve, no they have earned our admiration.
On a slightly related note I did pick up Modern Warfare 2 this week and let me tell you, even though the main story is short it will blow the pants right off you. The ending is slightly less than climatic but it will make you go: "WTF this guy is bad-fucking-ass!" I really can say that in terms of execution, spectacle and gameplay this has got to be one of the best games out there. Couple that will the amazing multiplayer that is essentially a more worked version of the same stuff in Modern Warfare 1 and you have a very amazing game worth every penny of it. I could talk your ear off about this game but all you have to do it check out any website that has anything to do with gaming to find out all the same information.
Last night I got to go to a pre showing of 2012 and it was actually a pretty good movie. Not amazing by any stretch of the word but it is much better than I expected. Don't expect it to win any awards other than for special effects but this is defiantly a movie worth buying when it comes out on DVD. The ships in the movie are bad ass. I have one gripe about it though:
So that about wraps it up for now. I'll leave you all with a question: What is the craziest movies you have ever seen?
For me its got to be a toss up between Oldboy, Versus, Clockwork Orange, and Ichi the Killer.
In terms of the girl in my life, things aren't good but could be a lot worse. She really does still care about her ex and she needs to give them a shot again even thought she knows it won't work. It is sort of depressing because everything she says she wants from him is exactly how I feel toward her. But she needs her time and we've talked about a lot of it, so right now I'm going to do my best to be there for her and wait till the time is right for us. That doesn't make it any easier, but some things in life are worth waiting for and I truly believe that she is worth every second.
Not too much planed for this weekend. I might go to a show Saturday at the Attic, and then Sunday I have a church service for my cousin who passed on a few months ago. We weren't too close but I have to be there to support my Godparents.
Bad News.
The girl I've been basically seeing for the past month and a half wants to try things out with her asshole ex. So that's got me depressed and I have midterms this week.
Good News.
I went to the Gogol Bordello concert last night and it was amazing. One of the best shows I have ever been to. the opening act was really amazing too. All in all a great night. And to top it off I just got offered a free Third Eye Blind ticket. So I guess I have a few things looking up for me.
I've had two papers due for two weeks because I was out with the flu a bit ago and I just never got to doing them. So i've kind of been avoid her until today when she literally back me up into a corner and told me I had until tonight to turn them in. THANK GOD! So now I'm off to cram away a bunch of papers. Wish me luck!
Technically it was due Monday or Wensday but both times got fucked up because of film problems. The first set I was going to do was all the bathrooms in the campus area and I got quite a few good shots. Boy let me tell you how hard it is to take pics in once of those large public bathrooms without seeming like a creeper! Well it turns out something went wrong with either the camera or I loaded it wrong and I got zero exposers out of a whole roll of film....
It only gets worse. So I figured I loaded it wrong and decided to take a bunch of black and white photos of the OSU Main Library, just west of the Oval. I get there and take some amazing shots only to get the film developed and all my exposures were on one spot. The camera only advanced one slot >_< So now I' m stuck with no project and a possibly broken camera...
Next I guess is a bunch of B&W photos of some of the huge and beautiful churches around Columbus. I really want to get into the Eastern Orthodox church near the Short North and the huge I think Catholic one near 3rd or 4th St downtown.
Wish me luck!
