Recently I got an e-mail from a band in Canada who had stumbled across some of my design work, and asked if I'd design them a t-shirt. I still find it overwhelming when I get a request like that. I mean, I'm this unknown guy who lives in London, but someone thousands of miles away has seen something of mine, and liked it. Honestly, I don't really get it, but it makes me feel like this is definitely what I'm meant to be doing with my life, and I feel so incredibly honoured and lucky. I don't take these things for granted.

It's always really nice to work with musicians whose music you like, as it makes the whole design process much easier, if not a little challenging, as I want to make sure that I produce something that the band will really love. This applies even more so when I'm designing merch, as I want to design something that I want to wear too - it saves money on having to buy clothes

Anyway, the brief was pretty loose, with the band asking for "something playful and a little dark" which I was a bit worried about at first. I've got to say, I'm really really happy with the outcome, especially with The King. Right, enough rambling, here's the results...
