hey all!
So I'm on my dinner break from the pool, I have about another hour frown ugh it's so hot and humid out. It kinda makes me wanna scream at every obnoxious child until they just leave so I can go home and get out of this suit! lol. But right now I'm just sitting on my couch listening to my new favorite band, Shinedown, and reflecting on this killer tan I'm getting haha. I swear I look like I could be Mexican.
So, if you can't tell by now, this is an extremely random post. As far as the Wasshington thing goes, I no longer can go, seeing as Dan ''conveniently'' forgot that he was going back to school this fall. So now I can't afford to live out there. So that sucks, I wanted to go. But now it's back to the plan of going to cosmotology school. And at nights I'll be working at the beautiful and luxurious Corner Bar as a bartender. Haha maybe if I put my pics from here up, I'll get better tips? Just a thought.

Hey all you lovelies!

Im getting all sorts of stressed out with this move. I'm really excited to go, and Dan is being great about it and he's excited to go too, but moving is a hassle! This would be sooo much easier if he didn;t want to take one of his motorcycles with us. But it'll be alright, AmeriCorps will pay for it, but it's still a hassle.

It's great though, we got this really cute 2 bedroom apartment, and were gonna have a going away/housewarming party before we go. We're getting a dog when we get there...just don't know what yet.

Oh and I just realized that I've never mentioned Dan before!! Haha he's 22, a motorcycle mechanic and absolutely wonderful!!!

So my trip to San Francisco has been great so far. I've done a lot of the super touristy things already, like going to Chinatown and looking at all the fake designer purses and stuff. I ended up getting a pair of Louis Vuitton sunglasses off a street corner. (I'm a total whore for sunglasses, I have way too many.) Then I had the honor of having some very authentic Chinese food, some duck thing I can't pronounce and chicken feet....eww by the way tongue

Then I went to Beach Blanket Babylon, which is this hilarious musical review mixed with tons of pop culture references and it's so campy that it's just fabulous. They have all these crazy wigs and costumes and it's just so funny! If you are ever in SF I urge you to go see it.

Yesterday I spent all day in Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 and Anchorage Square. It was all sorts of beautiful views down there, I had a lot of good luck too. Found a pearl in an oyster in my lunch, won a ticket to the Aquarium. And when I was going to Cold Stone Creamery i decided to stop by an OTM Fight Shop, just to check it out, and the guy who worked there was GORGEOUS!!! Tall with tons of tattoos, awesome. And he Took me to Twin Peaks to watch the sun set, it was beautiful.

So far it's been great.
Anyways that's it for now, about to go to Khoon Chang's, a Thai place.

xoxo

2nd UPDATE:
About an hour after I wrote this, I got a phone call and the head of the Red Cross where I applied offered me the job!!! And I accepted. So I will be leaving on AuIgust 28, 2009 and not coming back until August 27, 2010. They don't pay much, so I don't know if I'll have internet at my new apartment or not yet, but i hope I will.

UPDATE:
As far as AmeriCorps goes, the job in Washington state is looking really really good. Pretty sure I got it, I'll be hearing in the next day or so whether or not that's the case.

Right now I'm getting some stuff together for my 13 day long trip to San Francisco!!! My flight leaves at 10:30 am eastern time and arrives at SFO at 2:30ish pm pacific time. With the time change it all leaves me a bit conflustered....it's ok though, I'll survive.

Short post, but it gets the job done lol
much love

So, big news...

I've decided that I have to leave this fucking shitty hell-hole of a town and actually do something with my life. I'm sick of sitting around having nothing to do except go to work (a thankless job) and occasionally drive up to Olean for something to do. I want to be part of something bigger than myself, to help people who really need it. So, two days ago, I signed up to be a worker for AmeriCorps. For those of you who don't know, AmeriCorps is a domestic Peace Corps. Workers sign up for year long projects in areas of the country and it's territories, and work full time improving the area.

So far, I have applications in for 5 different projects and considering a 6th.
1) working with inner city kids in Pheonix, AZ educationg them about gang life, and why o stay away from it.
2) working for the Red Cross in Franklin, WA doing stuff the Red Cross does, especially how to survive an unexpected disaster.
3) assisting the progrm director for Alabama A&M's community outreach programs.
4) writing and implimenting curriculums to educate adults with disabilities in Hilo, HI basic life skills and job skills.
5) doing community outreach in the inner city areas of Los Angeles of all different kinds.
and the possible 6th) Educating the people of Ketchikan, AK about HIV/AIDS awareness.

If all goes well, I'll be leaving on September 1st, (my 20th birthday!) at the latest. Based on the living allowance I'll get, I don't know if I'll be able to afford internet or many extra luxuries. But I'll enjoy what I'm doing so that's more important.

Ugh, does anyone know how boring it is to work at an outdoor pool when it's raining and cold all the time? Well it's the worst. Every day from 12:30-8:30 and so far its been days off mid 60s and rain. Made only better by this suuuuper cute guy who works there with me...only thing is, his hair is prettier than mine! Haha that just sucks.
Sorry for the ridiculously boring post, I'm looking forward to July 18th! And tossing a couple more ideas around for new sets, picture frames and old classic cars, they're going to be huge!
