today was a busy day.woke up every early 9 am-to go to the 10am birthday of my "son" Ethan, who turned 2 today. it was cute, I cant believe how big he has gotten
then came home, and worked on a blue and white polka dot skirt to wear to the LARP. took a nap, got ready for the larp.
everything was going good until the pain kicked in, and it got worse and worse throughout the entire evening. it is so frustrating dealing with fibromyalgia. one minute the pain is tolerable, the next it's unbearable and it gets worse.

The LOOOOOOONG Overdue Update!
So folks, where do I begin? I've been gone for about 2-3 months, evidently I have missed a lot here, but I'm back! yay! I couldn't leave me lovelies forever.
Weight Loss
So back in December I had Gastric bypass, if you didn't know that already. At the start I was 353 pounds wearing a size 24. I am just about 4 months out of surgery, and I have lost roughly 70 lbs and am now down to a size 18
I definitely feel good, people are noticing how much weight I loss, and that makes me happy. The only downside is that I have the droopy oprah arms, and since I lost so much weight in a short period of time, I have saggy skin in my arms, tummy, and thighs. But I'd much rather have saggy skin than the crazy health problems I was having. Here are some comparison pictures.

That pencil skirt is a UK size 20-which is a US size 18 I believe, when i first purchased it, there was NO WAY IN HELL I was going to fight in there, but now I can.

That is a dress I had made, which was a bit snug, especially in the belly area when I first made it, now it is loose. And that was only about 2.5 months after surgery, and you can see how short I cut my hair.

Docs told me it would go away with the weight loss-it has not. If anything, I'm having more severe flair ups. It sucks, but I am a trooper.
Work
Um, if you don't know, I finally went into business for myself. Photography! YEAH BABY! Weddings, portraits, etc. I have a license, llc, tax id, all the special business goodies. I have a couple of weddings booked this summer (can't do too much because of the fibro-gotta spread my energy about), portrait sessions are a blast, and I am an official photographer for the National Kidney Foundation Kidney Walk! Which is October 17, in Wilmington SO I am extremely happy about that.
Remember crazy photographer bitch from way back? The husband and wife team that I was working under for two years? Well that shit went crazy, I had to totally remove them out of my life, because they were freaking spazzing. Admittedly she is a great photographer, but sucks as a mentor and sucks more as a friend. Sure I accept criticism, shit there are many great photographers in the SG group as well as other forums that I look to for advice, but this chick was downright negative. Her and her husband had the nerve to get mad and contact my husband when I removed them off of facebook! lol. My logic is simple, you bring negativity into my life, i must remove you. Plus, it doesn't look very professional on their behalf when they badmouth me to others in the industry, and I end up finding out. But hey! I got a couple of gigs for their badmouthing, so keep doing it!

Well Wes and I have had our ups and downs, but through it all, I love his cranky old ass. He is "damaged", yes even at 42. You would think that the female brings in more drama, but oooooh nooo-this mother fucker does it. For one, some of you know we are swingers, and that is fun. But he picks these CRAZY girls, who have some serious issues. And I tell him "the bitch is crazy, I advise you not to do this" and he'll tell me "oh, it's just because you don't want me to have any fun". If that were the case, he wouldnt be getting pussy on the side at all. But he has this whole thing where he is trying to fill this hole of where he feels unwanted based on his past. and i told him -swinging is fun, yes, but its not going to fill the hole, and 2-YOU HAVE AN AWESOME, YOUNG, HOT, FUCKING WIFE! I SHOULD FILL ALL THE HOLES YOU'VE GOT! (sounds perverted i know)
so latest example is we have two friends M(the wife) and R(the husband). They are both very prudish, not openly sexually. been together 11-12 years, both were virgins, didnt have sex till they got married. they are not a physically affectionate couple. husband doesnt have a backbone, and wife is obsessed with guys jerking off . they have 2 kids (10 and 3) and the wife is also obsessed with Twilight (if that doesn't send warning bells for a 30+ something woman)
so Wes expresses interest in her, i say go ahead, but be careful-because you might ruin your friendship with R, and M is crazy. so apparently 1 night, M and Wes kiss in the kitchen. Suddenly he is bombarded with emails from her with things like "i keep thinking about your kisses", "i daydream about you", "you are soooo distracting", "i dream about kissing you and teasing you", basically shit full of that teenage angst that Twilight is full of- to her, my husband is Edward". right then, I pinged the chick as crazy. And I told Wes exactly what would happen. She would get cold feet because she would realize that her and her husband do have intimacy issues that they need to work on. And she thought that by messing with Wes it would be fun, but it would only add to the complications, and that she feels that her husband is not really ready for it. So, what letter did she send him just yesterday? EVERYTHING I SAID TO HIM! lol. I told him, I can ping these crazies, and its happened about 4 times during the course of our relationship lol.

going to the STEAMPUNK WORLDS FAIR NEXT WEEKEND!!!! May 14-16 in New Jersey. Voltaire is performing. WOOT! I still have lots of sewing to do to get things done, but I'm so looking forward to it
I also started LARPING (live action roleplay) My husband has been doing it for years, and I finally decided to go. It is a Vampire larp-but NOTHING like twilight. My character is a 1950's southern debutante, named Charolette, so I can break out all of my 50's clothing and accessories!

I love it. Now, at the end of each larp, they have something called "nominations", where other players nominate you for being awesome. i've only played 2 games back to back (we play every other weekend), and on BOTH games, I was nominated for being totally awesome in character-plus having killer outfits to match my 50's persona. And I pull of a nice southern accent. No one has ever been nominated their first, or even their second game. know what that means? I ROCK!

its friday-another rainy and drab and gray friday. oh how i miss the sun
i spent some time today working on my new site. well technically i didnt have to work on it, i bit the bullet and had a company design it. all i do is change the colors, upload the photos and the text lol. i plan to have it fully published sometime next week! this will be the last edit to the site lol! i am pleased with this one
so about the house stuff. we are trying to schedule a showing now. i missed the call from the realtor. but in the mean time im still trying to gather the stuff we need for the VA loan people. my husband has to go to work and get one month of paystubs, we have to print out his certificate of eligibility and obtain his dd2-14, which im trying to do online now, but i hit a stumble so now i have to wait till my husband emails me back
im hoping to move into this place right before my birthday-so that way we can have a party/bbq! but at the same time in may we are supposed to be going to the steampunk fair-so money will be crazy. its a good thing my husband has stocks that he can cash out-r maybe take a loan from his 401-
now the one thing i want to know is if the VA covers 100% of the house-and the house is 155,000-and they said that my husband qualifies for $172,000 does that mean that he can take out a bit extra for paint, furniture, etc?

oh! and I have a house update!
so this house is up for sale, fr $155,000. It is perfect! 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, detached garage, ALL BRICK BUILDING, finished basement, and huge lot of land since it is on the corner! This is our perfect house. And I immediately fell in love with it.
So I basically had to get the ball rolling! Since my husband was in the Navy, he qualified for the VA home loans. We get a call, and find out that he is approved for up to $172,000-which means that $155,000 of the house is covered! So I just have to find his DD2-14 paperwork-which is somewhere in the second bedroom, 1 month of paystubs, and the certificate of eligibility and fax it off we can then have our approval letter, then we go see the house! i am so excited. i REALLY hope we get this
i hope even more that even if we do get this, that we can still go to Disney World in December! lol
waiting for my husband to come home-well he just walked in
anywho. i love my husband <3 i really do-he is an ass sometimes, but i do love him its like, yeah we have our bad moments but our great moments exceed those. we always have fun with each other-i can talk to him about everything. and i think one of the most important things is that we give each other space. he'll go off and do his things (d&d, larping, gaming) and i do mine (sewing, photography, ren fairs) but we still come back to each other.
not to be all mushy and whatnot-but i love him! lol. he leaves for work, i do my thing at home-and i look forward to him coming home. 6 years after being together-and i still have those same flutters as when we first got together
