so we went to the party. it was 50/50 in the fun department. swinger house parties usually end up being kind of weird, because even though they say "no pressure", its like-if you are not attracted to someone, its hard to not to come off mean-especially if that person keeps pushing you

soooo....i rode a freaking sybian last night, and ended up hurting my freaking vagina! OUCH! freaking crazy lol. that thing sounds like a small airplane about to take off lol.

Went to a baby shower today. And boy did it make me want to be pregnant. I swear, although my ovaries don't like me, my uterus is screaming for some damn insemination! lol. Was that tmi?

Anywho, about to head out to ANOTHER party tonight. I'm not really looking forward to going, but hubby is excited for it, and like the good wife I am-I enjoy seeing my hubby happy.

But in the mean time I made some new Steampunk items for my Etsy shop!

I'm a firm believer in karma and the fact that the universe helps us out here and there. It's amazing how things come to you when you least expect it. For one, the whole Pennsic thing. Now, one of the biggest concerns was that we didn't have a tent, and the tent itself is probably the most expensive item. Yesterday I log into facebook, and my friends boyfriend told me he was a double bell tent, and he would be glad to let us use it. These tents start at $500 to buy, and about $200 to rent, and he is going to let us use it?! THANK YOU UNIVERSE! lol. This is what the tent looks like:

That's freaking awesome, it is a BIG ASS TENT! lol. So tent, we got down. Now, I need to make the money. For one, I'm going to be putting a lot of items (ruffled jabots, steampunk wrist cuffs, neck collars, and accessories) on Etsy, and everything from there will go directly to our trip fund. We already have garb pretty much covered. We need to get a cot or air mattress of some sort, some chairs, some decorative items.

In other news, my right thigh muscle keeps going into spasms, and that sucks. And the gums around my wisdom teeth are swollen, and now the glands right under my throat are swollen. This sucks

lol. I should have planned better, but I had no idea how bad i wanted to go until i met up with some awesome people at the steampunk worlds fair, and they convinced me to go.

we need to buy a arty tent, and a crapload of stuff. not sure if we will make it this year-but i wanna go. plus we have ren fair!

Oh, and this is what I did today:





It's a new doublet for my husband for the ren fair. took about 4 hours of work with minor breaks for facebook and snacking time. but i think i did pretty good. when i have my mind set to something, i can work on it . but must time the add kicks in which is why it is difficult for me to continuously work on one thing. its not complete finished. two flanges need to be added to the shoulders, and the peplum tabs need to be added at the bottom. i am going to make him another one in this fabric that he really liked

i saw my friend today, she is pregnant and showing. my other friend is almost due and has a baby shower this weekend. it makes me sad because i think back to when i was pregnant and lost the baby. now the logical side tells me that we werent ready, we still want to do lots of things, and admittedly the type of people we are means that our fun life wont stop. it will just slow down. but its hard ya know

other updates. PAIN. i have been in tons of pain lately. off and on, its getting crazy, and its making me angry. because medicine, exercise etc is not helping . today i had to walk with a cane because my freaking hips/pelvic bone were in so much pain it was hard to walk it does get quite frustrating. i mean i know people with fibro, but everyone varies. mine hits me hard...which makes normal things difficult. i try to push through, try not to show how the pain is affecting me, but some days i just wanna lay in my bed, all day long, and cry.

So, the Steampunk Worlds Fair was an AMAZING event! For it's first year, it was put together very well. Jeff Mach, the fellow who organizes the Wicked Faire was one of the great minds behind this event. There was music, food, dancing, drinks (lots of drinking), shows, burlesque, amazing clothing, and good friends. We met a lot of awesome people, saw many amazing get ups. We also were asked to be photographed many times to be featured in a couple of blogs because of the fact that we are Black and into Steampunk, so we felt good about that.

I actually met, and talked with Voltaire! That dude is freaking hilarious. So that was definitely a highlight of the weekend. Even though by Saturday evening, my body was ready to give up, I kept on trooping! Oh, I also tasted Absinthe for the first time. Well "taste" is an understatement, I had 6 different types of absinthe lol. And boy oh boy did I see the "green fairy" lol.

back home. well we actually got home yesterday at 7 pm. we came in, stripped off our clothes, laid in bed, watched family guy, ate corndogs, had sex then went to sleep. i slept from sunday 9pm to just a few minutes ago! lol. it was an amazing event.

so tired. my schedule is really screwed up since i have to take and pick up my husband from work every day since he cannot drive due to his suspended license. he is taking the online course-but the thing is, he needs to finish it either by today or tomorrow, so that he can have the certificate fed ex-ed to him and THEN go to the dmv to reinstate his freaking license.

he needs to get ALL of this done by FRIDAY since we are leaving for the Steampunk Worlds Fair, and no way in hell am I driving the two hours to get there. Shit, I'm the one who always falls asleep in car if the trip is over 45 minutes

talking steampunk, i am so stuck on as what accessories to make him. it is super easy to make accessories for myself. girly stuff, necklances, etc. but for him, im at a freaking lost.
