I feel so unbelievably lonely.
MAY 29, 2010 @ 06:26 AM | 12 COMMENTS

So it's been some time since I've posted. I've been ridiculous with keeping up with this. Life seems to get too busy sometimes and then again there are days when I'm so bored and want something to do and yet I don't come on here. Sigh.

So A lot has happened since my last post. Work has been going well. I put a charm on my boss so that he'd be nice to me. Apparently his version of being nice means saying no more than hello once a week. That works for me biggrin I've also more or less got a handle on my depression. How you ask? Well I'll tell you. It's not drugs or psychological therapy. Give up? It's crystals. Yup. Crystals. I know it sounds stupid but I'm not crazy like Heidi and Spencer (I've been made to watch The Hills, if you don't know who I'm talking about you're lucky). It's part of my belief system that everything holds energy from plants to words, that includes rocks. For depression I've found that wearing a piece of Bloodstone helps to remove negative and promote positive thinking. It sounds strange but it has worked for the last 3 months. biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin This is the longest period of time in my life without having a breakdown when before it happened every week or two. biggrinbiggrin

No word yet on the promotion front. The uper management is keeping rather tight-lied about everything. It's been 6 months since I was told I was being trained for a management position and no word since. I'm getting rather disappointed with my workplace.

In good news I've been reading a crap ton! I've caught up on alot of comics:

Fables #12 The Dark Ages
#13 The Great Fables Crossover
The Invisibles #1 Say You Want A Revolution Apparently this series was written to be a hyper sigil for good. Everytime I picked up the book it gave me a physical headache. It's not bad, but it worries me that if I read the rest my brain might not take it.
Elephantmen #1 Wounded Animals
Elephantmen #2 Fatal Diseases
House of Mystery #1 Room and Boredom
House of Mystery #2 Love Stories for Dead People
House of Mystery #3 The Space Between
Lucifer #2 Children and Monsters
Lucifer #3 A Dalliance with the Damned
Lucifer #4 The Divine Comedy

And also a significant amount of books:

The Last Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko
The Postman by David Brin
Nefertiti by Michelle Moran
The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan
Neuromancer by William Gibson
The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon
Nammah's Kiss by Jacqueline Carey
Necroscope II: Wamphyri! by Brian Lumley
The Witchery by James Reese
The Court of the Air by Stephen Hunt
Stormship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein
The Cat Who Walks Through Walls by Robert A. Heinlein
Otherland vol. 4: The Sea of Silver Light by Tad Williams
Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett

Currently I am reading The Heretic Queen by Michelle Moran.

I do believe that is all. And That's all since February I think. My boyfriend (George), says that I'm one of the Sphinx from Mirrormask who eat books. LOL tongue Everytime I've told him I've finished a book he says that I'm hungry. I think it's cute.

I also got a new tattoo. It's an image of Saxon from Mouseguard. I'll post a picture soon. Or maybe I'll just wait for you all to see it at the Gala! tonguetonguetonguetonguetonguetongue

I can't believe Gala is next weekend. I'm so freakin' excited!!! I've got a tonne of clothes and I still haven't decided what I want to wear. They're all amazing so whatever I choose I'll look fabulous! biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

And something some of you may know (if you're on facebook), but most don't is that I joined up with Jenny Craig because nothing else I do seems to work. And so far I've lost 15 lbs! YAY ME!!! I'm going to look so great at the Gala! tonguebiggrintonguebiggrin

So to sum up, I read ALOT. And I procrastinate, ALOT. But I'm more happy and slimmer than I was before. biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

So what are the books/comics that you've read reccently? Comments on my choices are welcome. I love talking about books biggrinbiggrin

Until next time my loves kisskisskisskiss

I know it's been forever since my last post. I cannot say that much has really happened. I've gone to quite a few movies, read some books, and went to the Ladies Night at Flit and Dusti's place. Work has been tough. I'm training to be a manager and it's hard. I keep making silly mistakes and the consequent reactions seem to be disproportionate to the actually mistake made. I just feel so bogged down underneath all the pressure of current and impending resonsibility. I have a long way to go in a very short time and I'm not sure often that I can do any of it. I've been quite depressed over it lately and it's apparently affected everything, including my work performance. I just wish I could not care and be strong but everytime I try I start thinking how hard it all is and I tear-up. I just don't know what to do. Everyday I go in to work wondering "What's going to happen today?" Sigh.

Maybe I'm just afraid for no reason, but the I wonder if this is perfectly natural. Am I suppose to be here, doing this? Or is there something else I'm meant to be doing? I want that fabled job that doesn't even feel like work. Something I can say I truly love all of the time, not just some of the time.

Sigh. I try so hard to be happy and I just keep falling down.

Here is the Plate O' Sushi that was delivered to our table.

AandP attempting to tackle it.

The Mountain O' Sushi

Ok, I'm doing a litte bit better with keeping this updated. I mean, it's only been three weeks or somethingr'other. YAY ME!!!

Anyway....

As some of you may know through Facebook, I took my final exam last Tuesday. I believe I did rather well. biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin This means once my grades come back I can apply to graduate (there goes $300) for my Bachelor of Fine Arts. YAY!!!! I'M FINALLY FUCKING FINISHED!!!! I ACCOMPLISHED SOMETHING!!!! GO ME!!!!

This will be the most expensive piece of paper I've ever bought or owned.

On to other news....

I went to go see the Harry Potter flick a few weeks ago. It was ok. Cinematically it was beautiful and the pacing was ok. A popcorn film really. I'd rather read the book I think. The movie in my head is so much better.

I think I'm going to go see District 9 today. Let's hope it lives up to all the hype. biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Other than that I've gone out with friends a couple times. Working on having a social life finally. I am sorry though that I missed the camping trip. I couldn't really afford to take the time off of work. But is anyone going to Fan Expo?? I had my schedule arranged so that I had the Saturday Sunday off. My mum bought me a premium ticket and I'm hoping I get to meet Leonard Nemoy. SQUEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

In my literary world:
- I've read the first 4 books of Preacher
- finished reading Kushiel's Mercy by Jacqueline Carey.
- and I've nearly finished the first volume of Lucifer and I have volume two which I will be reading shortly.
- also read Fables #11 War and Pieces

I'm gad that I have time now to finally catch up on my comics. biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

So what have you been reading? What is your favourite book? And what book has inspired you the most?

Talk to you soon!!

OK, so I've kinda been a loser at keeping this thing updated. So, you know what that means....

SUPER HUGE UPDATE!!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

But I'll allow you one kindness, it won't be super picture-centric. All pictures will be linked to and not put up on this blog. I'm to lazy to put ALL of the pictures here. And believe me, there are quite a few.

OK

So, let's start off with PRIDE. I went to the PRIDE parade with Flit, Dusti, LexiH, 2low, and the lovely Miss Coral who use to be on this site and I had missed her dearly! Everyone was fantastic and even though it had been raining the parade was a hit!!

PICTURES >>>> PRIDE 2009

After the parade we all headed to this pub and met up with a few more people, many I didn't know, but I tried my best not to be too shy. The lovely Lisseth was there too. smile

After the eats, we walked around for sometime, stopped in at a pub for a beer, then went to a drag show. Some of the performers were just amazing, including Flit's brother Tyler Upstight. Needless to say I had a gret time. biggrinbiggrin

Then came the zoo!! biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin I hadn't been to the zoo in 3 years so I was very excited for that.

PICTURES >>>> ZOO!!

I was a ittle less shy on this outing, but still didn't work up the nerve to talk to the beautiful Renna until lunch. I'm such a dork! Nonetheless I had a phenomenal time. I kept getting distracted by the animals and 2low and Flit kept backtracking to make sure I didn't get lost. LOL!!!

And the there was the GALA.....

PICTURES >>>> GALA 2009

and here's a special picture for Friskey who convinced me to take it.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

I don't know who they were, but I was jealous. love love love love

tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue

Then I went to the Post-Gala Brunch. Showed up half an hour before everyone left because I was totally hung over, but hung out with some awesome guys nonetheless - Ian_G, DCruz, and Kyuketsuki. We sat there for a couple hours and chatted it up. I ate a huge bowl of ice cream and no one told be I had spilled chocolate sauce on my shirt. Thanks guys!! LOL!

So live has been pretty good this past month. Since my last post I've read Voyager and Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon, Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet) by Anne-Marie MacDonald, The Ecstasy of Rita Joe by George Ryga, and I am now reading Kushiel's Mercy by Jacqueline Carrey (one of my favourite series of all time!).

What have you been reading? biggrin

August is going to prove to be a busy and exciting month. I'm going to go see The Yeah Yeah Yeahs on the 5th, and attending FanExpo the 28th-30th. Also, my final exam ever is going to be on the 11th and then I apply to graduate. I'm nearly done my bachelor!!!! FINALLY!!!! SO yes, busy and exciting!!

I may also not be on here that much, though I do try. I am currently at the laundromat watching my clothes spin around the dryer while I write this update tonguetonguetonguetonguetonguetonguetonguetongue

Please call me soon, I wanna hang out some more biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

HELLO PEOPLE!!!!

Sorry I've been kind of neglectful of SG. Been trying to get use to my new life still. Still learning to balance everything. I'm starting to feel rather hermit-ish lately so I definately need to get out more! But first I need to finish my final online class. I need to finish by the end of July so that I can graduate! This means I definately need to stop procrastinating. Le sigh. I though I was done with school, too. And why does this class seem to be taking so much more energy than the first one???

In happier news...

I got a new tattoo!!!! Some of you may already know through Facebook, but here it is. biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin I'm so happy with it!! I've had it for about a week now and it's mostly healed. I can see parts where it needs to be touched up a bit but other then that it's perfect!!! I love it so much!! And it says "Marked of the Gods" for those of you who can't quite make out the lettering. I've had a few people think it says 'naked of the gods' which doens't make sense. Anyway....

I also bought two new figures to adorn my apartment! biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Cheetah was the first. Then last week....

Poison Ivy followed!

DANCES ABOUT HAPPILY!!!

Next will be Harley Quinn, and then maybe Hawkgirl. I really want Huntress and Wonder Woman, but the Hairy T doesn't have them. Perhaps I'll just order them from online.

In other words, I'm happy as a pig in shit!! biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin I love where I'm living and I love Toronto, and I love my job, and everything!!! Now I just need to finish this class, graduate and be more social!!

Love you all loads!!! Don't let it be too long until we talk again and I will try to do the same biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

I went and saw UP last night. FANTASTIC!!! The best movie I've seen this year!!! It made me cry twice and laugh a ton so that's a mark of a great movie in my books. biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

I've been working alot. It takes up most of my time and makes me very tired. But at least I'm making money smile
Hopefully I can get out to more events soon. I love hanging out with you guys. You're all awesome!!

Not doing much right now. I put off my laundry trip because I'm tired. Poop. Procrasitating mostly. Eating Nutella, watching Braveheart. I've been in a Scottish mood lately. Been reading a bit. Read Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon, Othello, and am currently reading Voyager by Diana Gabaldon. The last being over one thousand pages. HAHA!!

I'm trying to get back to people, read their blogs and such. I really am trying smile It just takes so much time to get to all of ya, but I am trying. smile

Mmmmmm, Nutella. tongue

Ok, night all, and we will talk again soon. smilesmile
