On this day 8 years ago, I became a Father.
My saving grace was born and I would never be the same person again.
Prior to her being born, I NEVER saw myself being anything that could resemble a parent.
I guess that could be because I was so young at that time (I was 21 when she was born)
I was a super out of control BOY before all that.
Super heavy drug abuser,no kind of morality,Narcissistic,struggling to find any kind of balance for myself...but it was clearly because I didn't give a fuck too. Youth self destruction in it's purest of forms.
I can honestly say, I would have been dead or locked away (how cliche I know) if not for her..and I know this for almost fact.
And boy was I scared a s fuck when I found out she was on the way (which sadly diluted some of her Mother's joy, I was too blind to get outside of my selfishness)
Lucky for me though, 8 years ago I did get my life changer.
I named her Skylar Morean....her Mom chose the first name..I got the middle name..
I got the name from a model I was into when I was a young teenager..Moreana Corwin (again, I was young..lol)
She has taught me many things about myself that have helped build me into the more stable and balanced MAN that I am today.
A vast majority of the movement forward in my life is solely because of her.
It scares me how fast she is growing up tho, I guess I never really believed the "they grow up before you know it" phrase I've heard forever.
I kind of wish she could just stay my little Princess forever, but wishful thinking there.
Soon Makeup and boys will replace the dolls and cartoons..and I'm probably not ready for it.
I don't want to be pulling shotguns on these little motherfuckers anytime soon.

Anyway this was just an appreciation for my little girl, she saved me from myself.
Or this line I think describes it best..
