why can't i manage to update more often?
oh, it must have something to do with working full time, job hunting, small business owning, grad schooling, daddy snuggling, and sophie mommying... I'll take that.
besides, Bitch, PhD is a much better read than me, anyway.
off to CT for a week of family, food, and frost. happy spring break!

so, didn't get the job. it was close, though. i have to say, after interacting with another office for a little bit, i am more aware than ever of how dysfunctional mine is...
life's lessons.
sticking around there for a while. starting grad school - finally. just MUST decide on the program. originally wanted higher ed. but then where i am is so psycho i switched to social work, so i could work with the little ones and that would be better. but now i am thinking i should really stay in higher ed. i'm 30, will be likely 35 before i complete my master's, and... you know, i'm just not sure i want to change fields that dramatically at this point in my life. i like the world of higher ed...
we'll see.
in other news, just got a new little aquarium for the office. the bettas are going back (probably, though sophie loves them so much i may just get a couple more
) and now i have room for a big fishie, too. wheee!!! thinking about a paradise gourami:

but we'll see who i fall in love with once the tank has cured. pretty sure it will be a gourami though - neat thing about them (and bettas - and i don't know what other fishies) is that they have a special organ that allows them to breathe real air. hence, quite hardy fishies.

Woo hoo!!! The interview was great - it was actually pleasant!
Before I had gotten back to my office, I had a message calling me back for the 2nd interview (with students). Whoopee!

once again, waiting to get my hair cut (well, bangs trimmed) and find time to hang out on SG... hmm...
So, life is good, seem to have stopped puking, still no new ink, but a job interview next week (cross your fingers for me).
Holidays were just grand. Snow days at school made it seem like it lasted longer... That was nice.
My turn! Bye!
