The NIN shows here in town and in Dallas were fucking awesome. No soundchecks or M&G's, but I'm not complaining because I met them back in Oct. Both of the shows had there ups and downs. San Antonio had awesome visuals and all the bands were right on time with starting their sets. Heard today on a local radio program that there were only 5,000 in attendance. That really blows considering the venue can hold just about 20,000. The Dallas show started late due to the fact that one of the lighting props was malfunctioning, but that didn't stop the bands from playing full sets. I was disappointed in the visuals. They were good, but the SA show to me at least had better visuals. The crowd was a helluva lot better than SA. The venue looked pretty damn packed considering its the same setup to SA. Trent had blood all over his hand and some on his nose. Not sure how or where he cut himself, but he kept going on with the show as if nothing happened. Overall I had a blast at both shows and I definitely would not mind seeing them again.

Okay, this is going to be long and maybe a little confusing but I will do my best to describe everything that happened. Please read everything, because I will you ask you for your opinions. Okay, last sat. (Jan. 7 to be exact) my friend at the time writes me a text message around 2pm asking me what im doing that day. I told him, I gotta go get my truck washed, go to the dealearship where I got my truck to ask a salesman a question or two and go to the mall to pick up my paycheck from my second job. He said "alright, Im heading over to my moms house in a little bit. I'll call you then." Okay, no big deal right. His moms house is two blocks behind me, so I'll invite him to see if he wants to go with me. So around 3:18pm he writes another text message saying hes at his moms house. I reply back asking him if he wants to go with me. He said "no, I gotta wait for my friend because hes gonna buy something from me and I wanna be here when he gets here." Again, no big deal. So I took a 30 min. nap, got up got dressed and left the house to go get my truck washed. I just getting ready to leave the place where I get my truck washed and he writes me a text message asking me where I'm at. I told him Im just about to leave car wash place and I still gotta go to the dealership and to the mall. He TELLS me to go and pick him up because he wants to go with me. This is where shit just started hitting the fan with him. First, the places I was going to are within 2-3 miles of each other. He was about 20 min. away from where I was. I told him that I would go and get him if he gives me money for gas. He then says arent you over a this location getting your truck washed. I said no, because thats a hand wash only and they charge more. He then says nevermind forget it I dont wanna go. I told him that I dont mind if he goes, just to give me money for gas because it would be a waste of time and gas to travel 20 min. to pick him up and then drive another 20 min. back to the area I had just left to finish what I needed to do. He said forget about it, goodnight. Its only 5pm. So I blew it off and finished what I needed to do. He writes me another text message and says that he doesnt like to bother me when I go and do stuff like that. I told him again it wouldnt have bothered me if he went, just for him to give me money for gas. Again, he said forget about it goodnight (5:30pm). I wrie back saying, so I guess were not going out to eat? He then says no, not anymore. goodnight (5:45). By this time Im on my way home. I go out by myself that night which is never a prob. for me. Then, on monday he wrote a blog saying that it is wrong for a friend to ask a friend for money to go and pick him up and that friends should always be there for friends no matter what. Now he says that I ruined an 8 yr. friendship because I didnt cater to him and waste my gas and time to go and pick him up. He wants me to swallow my pride and apologize to him and that he would forgive me. What pissed me off about this so much is what he said in one of his blogs. He said that HE is the only true friend that I had left. Hmmmm, last I checked I had a few people I really do call "TRUE" friends. Currently I have a longer friendship than just 8 yrs. Its going on 12 yrs.

Was it wrong of me to ask him for money for gas so I can pick him up?

By the sounds of it, am I the one that is going to ruin an 8 yr. friendship or is he?

What would you do if you were in this same situation?

If your friend is gonna hold your friendship of 8 yrs. over this one event if you dont apologize, would you apologize to keep the friendship? Do you think the friendship is worth it? Remember you would be apologizing for their stupidity, because you did offer if they wanted to go and they said no and anyone with common sense would not waste gas and time to drive a total of 40 min and about 30 miles to end up on the same side of town you were just on to places that are within 2-3 miles of each other.
