So, the good news is I got a job... sort of. It's a temp gig doing support on a FB game, but it actually pays more than my last job as a Software Test Engineer. Go figure.

However, I'm not a fan of some of the people. My new boss has made a couple of...pointed...references to my lack of formal education (HS Diploma, no college). You know, "I can't hire more people like you, because then the other departments would regard my department as a weak link". Shit like that. Today, I was asked if I'd ever taken an English class in my life. See, when emailing people in a situation where I'm trying to actually inform them of things I tend to break things into many paragraphs. I know how people read, and if you space things out they tend to see/retain more of it then they do when, say, skipping over a big block of text like you all probably just did, savvy?

This is the age of "tl;dr", after all...

Anyway, if it's easier to insinuate that I'm a fucking retard, whatever...

So, this has me thinking. Perhaps I should find some way to expand my *formal* education, eh? Because this would be a perfect time to go over 100k in debt for a piece of paper, right?
